Hello, I'm just running into a problem with this script. So basically I'm trying to assign a different attack animation to an enemy (using static enemies) but no matter what I do, (at least what the instructions tell me to do) it keeps using the default attack animation.

I apply the note <attack animation: Slash1> to the enemy's notes and it changes nothing. Am I missing something or am I doing the wrong thing?

Please help and thanks for reading.

please give a link to the script you're using, so that we can check what that script does.

It would have been better to link to the original post with the comments and descriptions instead of the pure scripts, but I was able to find your problem in the script.

As it's often the case, you ignored the instructions and invented a completely wrong notetag.

Here are the instructions copied from the script:

# <attack animation: x>

# This tag allows to set the normal attack animation for the enemy

# x : animation ID

And you wrote

I apply the note <attack animation: Slash1> to the enemy's notes and it changes nothing.
"Slash1" is the animations NAME. it is NOT the ID.

And you are instructed to place the ID into the notetag, not the name.

Look for the animations ID (which is always a number) and place that number in your notetag, then it will work.

Oh, wow I'm stupid. I got ID and name mixed up. (No idea how I managed that.)

Thanks for your help!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
