Hey everyone, I'm still relatively new to RPG Maker so apologies if this is a trivial question.

Essentially, I'm trying to create an even where the character enters a flashback scene - I would like the screen for this scene to be tinted gray. When I leave this scene, I would like to have the screen tinted back to normal (no tint).

I managed to get half of this done - the screen tinting gray when the player entered the flashback scene, however, when I left this scene, the screen would remain tinted.

I tried a lot of switches/events but I couldn't quite work it out, so I just deleted them all. Now there is no tint anywhere - just so I have a blank canvas to work with.

I would really appreciate any help here, since I'm sure I wasn't too far off with resolving this issue.

I can provide screenshots if they are needed!

Many thanks,

Thaesha :)

Hello. :) You could try just using the Tint Screen command again after the flashback scene ends to tint the screen back to the original tone (0, 0, 0, 0).

I just tried that and it worked perfectly, thank you so much for the quick reply!

Also it turned out I was using "Tint Picture" for some of the commands rather than "Tint Screen" whether that had an effect or not I have no idea.

But it seems to be doing exactly what I wanted to now, so thank you again.

Happy new year! :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
