Itch.io haves an option that let others pay an extra income to support the developers of their liking. Well, anyone here ever received any kind of support there?

I never received any.

Actually, people wait for discounts to purchase my games there, and free downloads are well served by the way.

I sell tilesets not games but I've gotten donations four times for my free set. It's not a lot and it's certainly not often but it's been a pleasant surprise.

I've gotten payments for downloads of my free demo. It's nothing substantial, but very well appreciated regardless.
