Hello everyone! I'm look for a plugin that has an item pop-up icon when the player receives items.
There's an existing plugin that
almost does what I want, but it has a few problems. (
https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/tinys-pop-up-icon-mv.47515/)
What Tiny's plugin does that doesn't work for me...
1. It shows a pop up icon when you receive equipment...after unequipping it. So if I unequipped a weapon, after I exit the menu, it shows that pop-up.
2. The text shows up right below the icon on the bare screen, so it's sometimes hard to reason. I think either giving it a mini window or a black outline would help a lot.
3. It doesn't contain a feature that lets the user disable it. It's always on.
What I need in a basic sense
1. Whenever an event occurs where the player gets an item or gold, the icon for the item pops up above the player and a sound effect players, as well as the name of the item and the amount of how many they received unless it was 1 in which case it would only show the name. If it's gold, it shows a user-defined icon and players a different sound effect from item as well as no name and just the icon for the gold, and the amount they received.
2. It doesn't happen for anything except events (so treasure chests and scene events), meaning that buying items from shops doesn't cause the popup.
3. A user defined switch that lets me disable the plugin temporarily for scene control reasons.
Now I'm not sure how to approach editing Tiny's as far as the rules go, but he did post in his topic that he was more than happy to let users post their own edits. Here's the short list of changes I would need done to Tiny's. (Another user actually already made the gold feature work fine, here's the link to his version:
)
1. Create feature that allows me to disable it entirely.
2. Remove feature where it shows the pop up effect when I unequip gear
3. Either add a black outline on the text when it pops up or give it a small window
Thanks in advance to anyone that is willing to help me! Please message me if this would be considered a commission and we can talk prices.
