Hello all, I am not very experienced with Ruby, and I was hoping to use as little scripting as possible, but I really wanted a side view battle system, and i went with Jets battle system for its simplicity. As far as I know there is no support from him anymore, so I was hoping to get some help here. There is a feature to make the character slide forward when attacking, which is fine, but I dont want them to slide when using an item and you cant specify that. I found a line of code that keeps it from happening when you Guard, I was hoping to just copy that and modify it for using items. Any help would be awesome. Here's the code I wish to modify:

Code:
alias jet3746_use_item use_item
  def use_item(*args, &block)
    sprite = @spriteset.battler_to_sprite(@subject)
    if (@subject.actor? || @subject.bat_sprite?) && !@subject.current_action.guard?
      sprite.slide_forward
    end
    jet3746_use_item(*args, &block)
    if (@subject.actor? || @subject.bat_sprite?) && !@subject.current_action.guard?
      sprite.slide_backward
    end
  end

Please provide a link to the script where you got that part from, that info would be helpful for any changes to that script.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
