Item Synth not finding Weapons/Armor?

Hey folks, new here and signed up as I needed some help.  Wondering if anyone else had found that since the last update to MV, Item Synthesis no longer finds weapons/armor?


I've tried starting a new project, updating the scripts, and only using the necessary scripts but I cant seem to get it to work.


Coming back to a project and losing that is really going to hurt if that's the case (bye bye Suikoden style weapon system)   :(

@CerealJoe That does not sound like something changed by the update.


Please provide a link to that script so that others can check it

So the issue I'm having is that when I put the ingredient list in the item, for example an upgraded Spear, I want to use the base spear as an ingredient.

is only showing me the copper and the gold when I open the synthesis menu regardless of the tag I use for the weapon/armor.


What am I doing wrong?

One thing you're doing wrong is that you didn't give a link to the script/plugin that you're using like I said yesterday.


We need that link to cross-check against what you are supposed to place in the notetag, or we can't help you.

Have you tried using the ID-variant to specify copper and spear?


Using names requires you to use the exact name, including capitalization - copper is a different name than Copper


That might be your problem, but the easiest way to make sure the engine gets the correct data is using IDs as that is what the engine is based on.

It looks like my issue was two fold.  The capitalization of the weapon/armor ingredient name and the fact I was using Item Core plugin as well which requires marking the weapon/armor ingredient as <Not Independent Item> in the notes.


Thank you very much for your patience and tips that helped me get things working.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
