Back at it again with the inane stat alteration questions!
Is there a way to make an item that performs the addNewState function to the actor that is using it?

Note that I cannot simply use the defualt state adding thing in the item editor, due to the necessity of applying the state multiple times to the same actor (Something that only seems to work through addNewState)

Are you using Buffs & States Core or any other state-affecting plugins?

Note that if you intend the state to wear off after a given number of turns, addNewState will not be sufficient, as it doesn't set the turns for the state.

Technically speaking, addNewState is a "lower-level" function than addState (in fact, addState calls addNewState), so by using it you may need to do extra work.

Fortunately I do not intend for it to expire; ever, in fact. So that isn't an issue for me at the moment, lol

For context, I'm using it as a way to raise an Actor's parameters, but I'm using custom parameters so all of the default ways like to chug pretty hard when attempting to get them to work with the custom ones.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
