Grant kinda looks like Fire Lord Ozi from avatar, but with blond hair.
Hello Jalen, first and foremost I want to say thank you and congratulate you on your work. But more than anything I want to ask you for something, don´t you give up. That´s what I want, honestly, your portrait generator is only a BETA and it´s still the best I have seen online, and truthfully I have been searching for resources for years. I have´t seen any update on it, or on the male portrait generator you were looking to make, so I am just hoping and praying you haven´t given up. I am not great with the RPG maker, but I am doing my best to make a game, and I have been working on it for years. Honestly, people like you help us all out, and you can make not only things easier for us noobs, but also make us want to keep on working on our games. So once again, thank you and I hope you are still working on those portrait generators.
Hey guys! I hate to post here without putting anything new up...because the truth is, I haven't drawn anything in over a month, let alone any portraits! I've been in a real downward spiral when it comes to art that I hope I can dig myself out of soon. I don't want to bore or worry you with the details, but I'll at least say that I'm trying hard to pick myself up again!
I just don't even know what to say, this means so much to me, especially when I'm feeling absolutely terrible about my art right now! I had no idea my portrait generator was still kicking around the nets...I haven't taken it off of mediafire or anything, but it's really heartwarming to know people are still using it, even as a sad little beta! I will try my best to start on it again. I'm afraid to make any promises considering how things have been going on my end. But seriously, thank you so much for writing this post. <333 I'm glad I can help even one person out!
Oh jalen you silly! Your portraits are in my opinion the best RTP-Alike I've seen floating around! They are absolutely gorgeous. These portraits actually triggered me to start drawing portraits myself. I'm sure you help tons of people out in here.
I hope you will take up drawing soon, and always remember that the community is grateful for your work.
Jalen, dearie, you are, like all artists, experiencing the ups and downs of producing your art.
But that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your art. Or with you.
I love your stuff!
And how did you sneak a portrait generator past your old pal Deb?????
Verrry sneaky, verrry sneaky...
These are fantastic! Great work!
I can't seem to access any of the images in the Photobucket album (or, for that matter, any other user who hosts their work on that site). I click "save" in the pop-up, and it goes to the Photobucket site. On there, there is no way to view the image on its own, or download it (clicking the "download" button boots me to the front page). Did you set your album settings to private (or, with changes to the site, it was done automatically)?
Thank you so much for the encouraging words, guys. They really mean a lot to me; you all are the best. ;w;
@ CanuckDev: I have my album set to password-protected; I actually don't want people going through my PB album because there are no credits available on there. I definitely prefer it if you save the portraits and things directly from my thread! Just right-click and save image as, don't left click on them first (that is, don't do the popup thing), and you should be good to go!
Wow I love your work! I was looking over your blog and happene to notice a character that would work perfect for the middle and end of my game for one of my main characters.
Who's handsome and dashing and doesnt have thumbs to point at himself with?
on a serious note though he really would work perfectly for one of my characters, but hes only got the one Emotion... which is to say none. any plans on maybe adding some Sock and Buskin to this guy's repertoire?
@Jalen I found the problem. While logged in on Firefox, I can't do a right-click save image, since it brings up a pop-up than then redirects to Photobucket when trying to save it. However, going on Internet Explorer and not being logged in let me do it. Weird.
is there by any chance an error with teh download for the generator? i cannot seem to unzip it
Art is a constant spiral of self-degradation in order to improve.
But I guess what I'm saying is, don't ever lose!
Your art is great and your personality is sweet~
I'm sure you get praises every week!
Remember to have fun and dance to the beat
As we sing thanks for all you did.
A poem dedicated for a lass like you
Don't ever give up since we're here for you!
Sorry I can't hope to compete with Nessy's poem.
I hope that everything is ok. And I look forward to seeing more of your work soon!
Thanks for working so hard on these materials!
Some very nice work, Jalen. Um... could you try making some feline faces? I don't mean anthropomorphic cats; what I'd like is an assortment of real cats' faces for a game based on Erin Hunter's Warriors. Specifically I'm after Firepaw (an orange tabby tom with green eyes); Ravenpaw (a thin, scared-looking black tom); and Graypaw (broad-shouldered gray tom with yellowish-gold eyes).
Maybe I should make a note here. No copyright infringement is meant; I fully intend to contact HarperCollins if the game were ever to be distributed.
That said, could you do it?
Florian sprites done by my hero, FenixFyreX. XD HE DID SUCH A GREAT JOB *Flails* Florian even flies around! ;w; ...Though his portrait still needs his wings. <__<
Well, my dear Jalen and Fenix, I just thought Florian looked like a jazzy kind of guy.
So I was inspired by a sax here:
and made this guy with his own custom granny sax:
Let the Muuuusic taaaake you awaaaaayyyyyyy....
Awesome graphics! Keep up the good work!
Wow, all of these are amazing. Great work!
it's just what i am looking for...
