UPDATE: I have bought RPG Maker MV and I love it! ...Which sadly means, I will not be adding any more assets to this thread. I might open a resource thread on the MV forums, so say hello to me there!

    Hello!

I am Jeipi, I've only just registered recently but I've been lurking on and off since rpg maker xp...

For my first post, I thought I'd share stuff with you guys. The following resources were compiled, frankensteined or in very rare cases made from scratch by me. You can use them for free, no need to credit me.

(You should credit whoever else you need to credit though.)

    Lets get this started!

    1. RTP Style compilation of Elves

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Changed my mind and thought the pinky-purpley cape was a bit too femenine for this guy.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Note: These were all done using http://tkool.rgr.jp/maker some RTP sprites and a little photoshop
    2. RTP Style Furry Ear Randomness

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Used the People 1 Faceset from momope, momope's Furry Ears, and SowS' People 1 Bust.

    [IMG][IMG]

[IMG] <will make the sprite someday>

Used momope's Furry Ears again, and this generator
    3. RTP Portraits hair recolors:

I dont know who made these originals. Credit them if you use these, I just recolored the hair:

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
    4. RTP Frankensprited Portraits + sprites

    [IMG][IMG]

I always thought this "evil" character in the RTP would make a good thief.

I boosted his purples, gave him an RTP face, and changed his Portrait body to the Soldier one (because ive always thought it fits him better, too)

He even has his matching gloves! :)

Again, you dont need to credit me, but I'm not sure who was/were the original authors of the 3 RTP-like portraits I used
    5. IconSet Grid

I don't know if someone did this before but working with iconsets can get frustrating if you dont know where one icon begins and another one ends. I made this grid to help myself and I thought I'd share it.

    Quick explanation:

Go to Resource Manager and Export your IconSet

You should have the RTP icons in a .png file.

Open those up in an editing program of your choice (photoshop, et al) and put this image in a layer below it:

You should now clearly see a helping grid beneath the iconset you are working with.

Dont forget to delete or hide the grid layer before you add your icons to your game, though!

Full sets are always fun. Thanks for posting. =] It is nice to see the variety the generator can produce.

Are they completely generated, or did you edit them? You say it is a "bit of photoshop."

Glad to contribute a little :)

Edit: @GrandmaDeb None is completely generated. You can try that generator and you wont get the same results. Some are hue-changes, other are more drastic, like the 7th one, who didnt have a sprite char sheet that matched the bust + facesets

You cant even get green or red hair using that generator alone ;)

Cool! glad you guys like this. Updating with a few more resources in a while.

EDIT: re-uploaded my iconset grid, the last one had a pixel offset (my mistake) should be right now.

I have no idea how to delete my own posts, but bumping so you guys can see another update. I like the thief I added! I might want to use him in a project...

Also, does annyone know who made the original portraits?

    Thanks in advance.

The resource section has some special leeway for double posting. You can bump requests after 72 hours and if you're posting new resources in your thread you can also post, though you are asked to lump updates together as much as is reasonable and update no more than once a day. Deleting posts is a mod only thing, if you need something deleted, report the post and a mod can help you, but for something like this it's not required.

I love your elves and it is great that you add a spriteset and an emotionset as well for them! Some of the hair colors are bit too saturated for my liking, but overall very nicely done. Could you maybe make the elves also in a human version, meaning without the pointed ears? They all could be used for human teenagers as well.

Hey! sorry Candacis, for taking so long to reply!

I think making human teenagers with that generator is pretty easy already :p I might make a few of my elves into not-pointy-ear humans afterwards, but since I switched computers (again), I lost the .psd... so... maybe later.

In the meantime, I added some japanese stuff that I came up with a generator I stumbled upon (its linked, too.), so bump!
