First thing first, I see you want to use message codes in the text.

The 'draw_text' method won't convert those, only the 'draw_text_ex' method will do.

Simply joining two strings means to add them together, which can be done with a simple + sign.

text = string1 + string2
draw_text(x,y,w,h,text,align)
# *or*
draw_text_ex(x,y,text)

Just like the above example shows.

So, you add them up before you draw them.

If this is not what you mean, you will have to add more information.

Like:

Where exactly you want to do this?

Why do you need this?

You could also explain those examples you wrote.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
