Thanks in Advance RPGMaker Community!

I would just like to know if you guys can reach my game at http://sot.no-ip.biz:7960 ? If so, thanks! If not, please let me know what browser you're using! If you get lag, let me know what browser you're using and if that's something that happens with other browser games!

Also, feel free to enjoy the early development of my game! It will be there until the official demo is put there in it's place!

Once again, thanks in advance!

Edit:

Crystal Sparda - what browser are you using?

To those using Firefox, Chrome - I have had friends reach it using Firefox though they did say it took a few minutes to load but none of them tried with Chrome. Try using Internet Explorer or NWJS (the node.js browser thingie) I have connected to it local and from within inside the network fine with Internet Explorer, Firefox and NWJS but have not been able to connect to it with Chrome myself. Edit: My brother connected to it with Chrome just now.

RyokuHasu - it's a new project with 1 map and 5 custom characters. Also it's a new project without all my scripts implemented yet so things not being set up yet should be expected.

KisaiTenshi - I wouldn't play a browser game that small. It irks me having my large screen only seeing that little of screen with all that black border not being used.

I'll reduce the resolution for the online version if that's causing lag.

2nd Edit: 5 minutes to load? 13 minutes to load? .....people from other countries are connecting faster than that...

3rd Edit: I found out what the lag issues were....conflicting plugins.  Thanks for the help!

Error

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot react property 'note' of null.

Sooo something didn't load properly for me, maybe it timed out or something. I know you want you guard your IP but it sounds like no-ip is causing some issues with performance and loading times, proxies slow down data travel times.Or if you have it on a personal computer/server that might not have a good enough connection speed to load the game to client browsers. Also if you have very large music files that could also could also contribute to the poor loading time.

I would recommend looking into getting a free or paid service to host your game when your are closer to having a demo or playable beta.

Edit: I got it to load properly, but it still takes a VERY long time to load, see above for suggestion on improving loading time

It took at least a minute just for it to connect.

I noticed the preload manager is in there.

After 5 minutes and about 8MB downloaded it just gives up.

After the third try, I'm giving up, as a grand total it's downloaded less than 20MB and still doesn't get past the main menu.

After an additional 13 minutes, the game eventually popped up, but the second I hit a random battle it was back to loading.

Also, I'm highly recommending not using a 1920x1080 screen size as it will not fit in a browser screen if you're going to play it from the browser, as it will cut off most of the dialog box if it's not run full screen.

Interesting... after the audio track completes playing is interrupted, the FPS drops to zero, that makes me think the loading ceases at that point.

He obviously has overly bloated files and is using plugins and I assume he is using a private server/computer. Can't judge all projects based on a poorly implemented one.

a smaller splash, some music compression, and a few other tweaks this might work better.

Lol finally got into the game, the resolution is way too big unless I Fullscreen my browser i have to scroll to see it all.

Edit: Map is too large for the town/area you are in too much unused/empty space filled in with overly repetitive use of the same grass tile. The buildings are masive and perfectly square, unless you are planning in it being a 10 story 5 star casino there is no need for that much mass in a building. The starting map can easily be broken up into smaller bite-sized maps for faster loading and easier management of the different areas.

and the battle screen looks horrific and is unplayable.

you might need to rethink some development choices if you want this to even be playable let alone be web-hosted. again everything is too large, EVERYTHING. Bigger is not better, you sacrifice too much detail and pliability this way.

As a point of reference, look at the demo game from the pre-order site:

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
