Just bought RPG Maker 2K on Steam and it won't run

When I launch it the little black Steam launch window comes up for a split second and then closes and then nothing else happens. I'm on Windows 7. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

In most cases when this happens, one of your background programs (anything from firewall to antivirus or parent lock) has assumed that the maker is an infected or unwanted program and blocked execution.


You need to check all such programs until you find one that logged the block, and then whitelist the maker inside that program.

I figured it out, I had to add a DEP exception for it. It works now.
