1. Creating Game Installer. It doesn't work, it will ask me the folder path and if I want to include the RTP, but will give me an error after this, saying:

UNLHA32 Error report

Can't read a response file.

2. Fullscreen doesn't look that good. The pixels aren't even. F5  will blur it too much. Blurring a slight bit would be good, but sometimes it's just not as good as it could be.

I just tried this also, and got the exact same error. Hopefully this is addressed immediately since this is an official, paid product now and must be held to a higher standard than illegal fan translations.

*edit*  And just FYI, this error happens with and without including the RTP in the game installer. Either way, I can't make one.

It looks fine on my machine. This could be an issue specific with your machine/monitor set up?

How's the framerate? I'm getting REALLY BAD results here.

On my Windows XP computer (Core 2 Duo) game runs at like 3 frames per second. Yet VX Ace runs quite smoothly. Any valid explanation for this?

I have a Windows 7 computer (Core i5) with a powerful nvidia card capable of running even GTA V quite smoothly, and it will not look any pretty with RM 2003.

How is no one else complaining about this???
This needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY.

Just gave it a try myself - no framerate issues at all here.

Really? Can you give us info about your setup?

What OS, processor and videocard are you using?

Win7 64bit and AMD Radeon R6. Just a boring off-the-shelf laptop and nothing more.

If no one else is reporting this, maybe they're just not experiencing the same problems? Could be something with Steam for all we know.

Ahh all right, that helps! I believe I have similar hardware to that. But it behaves poorly. Have you done a side by side comparison with the unofficial RPG Maker 2003 while running a game?

I see a bit a choppiness in full-screen on a newish machine but nothing as horrible as 3 fps.

I am however, seeing the same error as the original poster when I try to create a Game Installer - hopefully they'll have a patch for that soon.

RMMV
Actually, F5 triggers a lower resolution mode (if you press F5 while windowed, it will actually shrink the window). That's why pressing F5 will blur the view in fullscreen.

For now I would recommend the regular windowed mode. I'm not sure why, but I've had the choppiness myself as well, even before the official RM2K3 when playing on fullscreen mode.

Hello, I'm really sorry that you are experiencing these issues.

The installer creation error seems to have something to do with the Steam integration, since it works fine on our local development versions which are not bound to Steam.

I will try to address both issues (installer, fullscreen) in the next update. I'm currently doing some troubleshooting with one of the affected users in order to find out what exactly causes the framerate issues, because didn't experience any lagging on our test machines so far.

PS: F5 doesn't work like that anymore. In windowed mode, it will change the size. In fullscreen mode, it will turn on/off bilinear interpolation. The screen resolution is not changed in fullscreen anymore.

Thanks for the reply! The good news is that creating a game installer is typically not a very pressing issue as I doubt anyone is nearing the completion of their RPG right now, so we've got some time =)

Game installer and fullscreen problems solved!

I see that there are plans to improve further. That's nice, since still not every computer gives me 60 fps, but some do now.

Steam should have updated it automatically... Also isn't Steam the only version available?

I just opened the RM2003 today and it already had updated.
