Just some sprites Ive been working on. I'm really new to this hope you like.

Hi,

I only started using Rpg Maker around two weeks ago, I couldn't find the sprites i wanted so decided to make some.

The first set i made was the doctor who ones and then I've been working on some marvel ones as I'm trying to make 

a Saturday Morning Cartoon/pop culture type game. let me know if you like or any advice on how to improve them 

I really don'g like the spider-man but I just couldn't get him right.

Wolverine still a Wip but I like how hes coming along.

You are pretty good at this, being new. I been pixeling for a week now and I am nowhere close to you as of yet. I am loving to Daleks though. The Cybermen aren't too bad either. I'm not a huge hero's fan, but my favorite one out of your sprites is Ironman.

thanks I've been using this software I found, its really hard to good software to make it easier to sprite i'm just using the 30 day free trial but I'm kind of in love with the software try it, really helps.

Eeek! Love the Doctor Who sprites!!! They are looking good, a bit flat looking (which from what I've gathered means you need to work on the shading), but a fantastic start!

To be fair, the back of venom is completely black, lol.

But you see, we have a thing called "Lighting", which is used mainly to bring depth... that venom being completely black makes it look like a FLAT object rather than a character...

IDK, I never looked at his butt... Plus venom is always moving (at least those symbiotes move all the time)... I just can't picture out a static Venom...

Hey, not bad! Got some typical mistakes for someone not used to drawing at this angle, mostly forgetting that it's not actually a side view but a 3/4ths view from the top. I think if you removed the ears on Spidey's sprite and added a pixel of white into the corner points of his eyes (so they don't look like squares) he'd look more like himself. You've done a really great job condensing the character designs down into essential details, that's an important skill for a pixel artist. I look forward to seeing more.


I love it when a new member isn't afraid to dive right in and do the work themselves if they can't find it. Welcome!

Dunkingcookies, you are highly suspected of plagiarism since some of the sprites you showcased here is from Thiago back in 2009 from RMVX.net. Images such as Capt. America and Iron Man. This is a bannable offense and I highly suggest that you credit your sources and don't take credit of things that you didn't make. Unless you can prove to us that you are the same person. Which is highly unlikely as you just started a few weeks ago.

Hey I had not seen thiago's work before but I did use this for iron man reference  and used the same color palette and capt's color pallette came from my own work on here http://pinkeggs.tumblr.com/post/51819456471. I did use a character template I found online that said was ok to use to make your own characters. and i haven't seen Theagos Ctp. but from the looks of iron man looks like its a similar template he used.I'm new to pixel art so I've been following the shadows on the template to put the darker colors and the light bits for lighter colors that's why most of my bodies look alike I'm not use to working in such a small canvas to draw on but I will remove them if you want?
