Alright I guess I should just get to the point see, I already downloaded RPG Maker VX Ace on my Desktop so I wanted it on my computer. I know legally I can't have it on my Laptop as well which is why I planned to uninstall it from my Desktop after installation on my Laptop. So I installed it on my Laptop and tried activating it but instead it said something about my code and then it said to click on a link for support. Thus I did but, instead it took me to a page that no longer existed. I thought it might be my IP address (I don't know why I did), and of course a different one didn't work, so I decided to ask for assistance.

I was wondering if I needed to request a new code, or if there was something else I did wrong.

(I know this isn't as specific as it should be, but unfortunately I misplaced my code so I can't recreate what I did originally.)

When did you download the engine? I think they updated it with a new verification method because people are having problems with the old one so you might need to redownload the new installer...

Well lets see I have 9 days left so I downloaded it on the 14th of November.

EDIT: My trial has now expired, I really would appreciate some help with this and it would mean a lot to me.

(I really hope I can get help because it would just be "so" much easier to have RMVXA on my Laptop.)

When I purchased RPG Maker VX, I asked the staff about installing it on my laptop.  The staff member told me I was able to install it multiple times.

So far I've only used it on here, and on my laptop.  However, if i DO format, I am able to use it as many times as I like according to this staff member.

The link for the support probably pointed to the support tickect, the site had been changed a short time ago. You can find the ticket area behind the support links on top right of the site.


It would also help if you could tell exactly what the error message is if you try to enter your activation code - please try that again and post a screenshot (make sure that you blacken your code on any screenshot if it's displayed there.


How many times have you tried the code? sometimes there is simply a lag or a sever problem and it works if you try again at a later hour...

My problem is, well I can't quite find the code anymore (I don't know what happened to it, and I am still looking).

But I tried using it over 10 times at least, on different days on different IP addresses trying to get it to work. I do still have my purchase receipt but I never thought to have my Code Typed (Which was really, stupid of me).

If you purchased from mine site store, you got your code by email. In that case you have to find that email or ask for a resend by the support tickets.
If you purchased from the forum store, the key is in your client area under purchases (click on your forum name top right when locked in to select client area)

I will try and see about a resend through a support ticket.
Then your code will still be able to be shown through the site.
Like I said above:


1) click on your name ate the top right of the forum


2) in the link list that will appear, click on the "client area" (lowest link)


3) on the next page, click on "purchases" on the left side


4) you'll see a list of all purchases from the forum store, and your code will be listed there if you purchased by the forum store.


If it's not there, then you have gotten an email with the code previously, even if you don't remember that...

only if you find the email stored somewhere that contains the key.

Since you purchased VXA by the main store, you need to go to the support area (right of download) and make a ticket with the same email adress you used to purchase VXA, asking for a resend of the key email and wait 2-3 days (might currently be one or two days more due to the holliday events at Degica, I hope you already sent that ticket because otherwise it might not be processed before the chrismas days...

I sent the Support ticket in yesterday so I am hoping to receive a response a little before the Christmas time.

I'll edit this post as soon as I get a response (If that response includes a support key and it still isn't working for me I will post screenshots of what I have been seeing).

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
