I wanted to use Khas' Awesome light effects for a horror game. But there's a problem, it doesn't seem to work. The places I wanted to add lighting I added a comment: light 1 (like a friend told me) - Then I started the game but no lighting shows up. What is my mistake?

well, for a start, the comment has to have square brackets surrounding it, like so

[light 1]
Also, you will then need to adjust the darkness of your area by using the script call...

s = $game_map.effect_surfaces.change_color(180,0,0,0,220)
Furthermore, Khas demo has full detail on the features it can do and you can also check the events to see how it was done. Hope this helps.

no problem.

Most scripts have special conditions or requirements you must meet before they will function correctly, such as turning it on by a script call.

I would always recommend a thorough reading of the script's instructions prior to asking for assistance, usually most issues can be solved by fully understanding the script instructions :)

I will, just realized that it's actually usefull as I always skipped it and asked others. I should read instructions before asking again, as they always help.

EDIT: Is there a way to add lighting with regions? (The numbers 1-red etc...) It's better than all those events, as there are lots of other events too.

I dont think so, also, that script causes quite alot of lag when you start using very large light images or when you start using alot of lights...

Actually, that script just laggs the hell out of my computer :/ regardless of if i have one or 20 lights on a map :(

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
