There is not an on/off switch built into the script. But you could build your light events with a switch. For instance have your shade effect be on a switch and such, or the lights themselves.
You don't turn it off, you just use itself to make it look like ur not using it...
yeah i know all that.....I was asking because for some reason when i have this script i cant tint my battle screen so i thought that i would turn off the script every time i go into battle and turn it on after the battle :)

What is the term of this script, can't access the site saying the server is dead or cannot find the site itself.

Also there is a conflict between the terms. The one in the scripts says that it is for personal use only but the site says that it's also free for commercial use. Which one is it?

EDIT: It's the one one the site (the most up2date one) so it's available for commercial use as long as you credit him properly and not alter it.

Still use less he just change site again, he just redirect me to a new site that doesn't have any terms page.

So I couldn't find this anywhere on the script, or this thread, is there a way to change the Surface_UE to true or false using a script command?

I downloaded this demo and found that line at 214. When I changed it to 90 and started the game it gave a error and refused to start. I changed it back to 180 and the game started again.

Is it somehow protected ?

I have the surface_Z set to 10 and it works great, it will prevent the surface to darken the choise effect and the window.

I'm not sure what value is preferred, but I have found that it works great for my game without messing up any of the other windows, and still keep the surface to animate the light sources. But no, the script is not protected in any way,

I have installed it, and got it working in my game :) not bad for a noob :)

I only try now to make the light circel some bigger. I made the torch.png and torch_m.png in the lights file with paint 50% bigger. Changing the size. But then ya see the edges of the sprite. Is there a solution for?

torch.png 50% bigger becomes 432x432 pixles, the height of Ace's window is 416 pixels so the picture becomes taller than the game window so I imagine that's why that graphic shows itself flat at the edge since it extends off the screen. Try making torch.png 416x416 and it should be just as tall as the screen (although if I compleatly misunderstood your question tell me).

I'd suggest 544x416 rather than 416x416 since the width of the window is 544... 

or if your problem was that you can see the black(or was it white) edges of the image, then it means you opened it in an image editor that doesn't support transparency...

also, resizing to higher size normally pixelates the images so I really dont suggest doing it... it will look better if you just make a new image yourself...

I use the size of the window that comes standard with VX ace. The sprite is not bigger then the window. It is what adiktuzmiko says, I see the dark edges of the sprite. I am new at this stuff all together and made the sprite bigger with paint. I suppose its the transparacy, or better the lack of it. I will try it in an other drawing program.

I succeeded with Gimp :)

Does anyone know the answer to my question?

is there a way to change the Surface_UE to true or false using a script command?
I just want to know since using the tint screen command is a lot easier than the script call built into the script and it just seems like there should be some way of switching it in game since it'd be odd to put that option in and not have a way of reversing it in game. If there isn't a way then I guess I'll just use the script call, but can someone tell me if there isn't?
