Hey, I'm very puzzled over why I can't get this to work, I've tried tweaking several parts of the code, but to no avail.

What I'm trying to do is make a quest for my character to go and kill 10 slimes. I've set up the code, and in the second picture you can see that in order to continue, the character has to kill more than 10 slimes.

Now I go out and kill 10 slimes, I come back to the questgiver, and he tells me that I've killed 0.

I have no idea how to make this work, any ideas?

1) Battleend has priority over troop events - that means your troop events will not run after all enemies are killed, they need to run before.

Check the forum for the solution, it has been asked several times - you need to add an immortal state dynamically to one enemy of the troop and remove it in the troop event, after the counter had been processed.

2) you don't need a camera for screenshots, just press the Prt-Screen key on your keyboard (that will copy the current screen into clipboard), then open an image program (MS Paint if you have nothing else) and paste the image into the new picture.

P.S: Screenshot with snipping tool (an app) or ctrl+printscreen and paste into paint ;)

I use Snipping tool because its much easier than print screen and Paint.

Thanks for all your advice! Would one of you be able to explain how to use the script that Jackus posted?

Add the script into the script editor by inserting a new section and pasting it, then set the Victory_Common_Event_ID section to the ID of a black common event, (Found to the left of it's name in the editor list) Then make that common event just add the variable that counts the slime kills.

Hope thats clear. If you need more help, then ask. :)

Can't you do the same thing just by turning the battle event condition to switch:slime kill on?

You don't need an immortal state, or a script, to increment your skill counter. Just increment right at the START of battle, not at the END.

If you lose and DON'T kill the enemy, you'll get gameover and will have to load a saved game, prior to the point where the variable was incremented.

And your method of taking screenshots might be easier for you, but it's incredibly difficult for anyone helping you. If you want/need our help, make it easy for US, not for YOU ;)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
