The story of Kitten Mita is a heartwarming tale about a kitten learning to value her own mother,
and is inspired by one of our favorite folktales “Kasih Ibu Yang Sejati”.
Kitten Mita is a tale about overcoming one’s self, triumph over the fear that holds us back,
it’s about the journey of life we all embark on.
Kitten Mita is a story about the pain we have to face daily,
and it’s about not taking those we value for granted.
Also to clarify the genre of this game, it would be the following, Life Simulation,
Japanese Role Playing Game, Compilation of Mini-Games, and Puzzle.


We at Eggion hold our heritage in the highest esteem
and as such wish to create a game that promotes our culture
and shines a positive light onto Indonesia for the whole world to see.
With Kitten Mita, we wish to inspire and to encourage people to chase their dreams.
This should be evident in our art style.
We purposely chose the coloring book style to add to the whimsical nature of the game.
It's playfulness is to encourage a sense of adventure, and remind players of their youth.

Our goal with Kitten Mita is not only to create a game that is fun,
but a game that can be in every sense art.
We wish to break the limitations that have been imposed upon us,
and exceed the expectations others have for us.
We wish to change the world’s view of our culture,
and challenge stereotypes, we want our game to be a beacon to other Indonesian developers,
so that they know, they can create the game of their dreams in their own style.
We wish Kitten Mita to be that success story.

Synopsis
Mita live together with her mother in simple hut in a wild mountain.
Mita used to be a pet and her living condition in wild make her mad.
After serious argument with her mother about her living condition,
Mita decided to run away, leaving her mother all alone in order to find new parents.
Meanwhile,
The dogs has come to conquer.
And their first priority is to wipe out all the remaining cats within their territory.
The last cat is persistent, hidding far away from civilization.
The Dogs decided not to cause an uproar, so they dispatch their strongest,
Cyan to hunt down the last cat.

[SIZE=10.5pt]The thing with your game is... well... humm... i can’t find much negative things to say about it... how can i say it, is really bad that this topic has no much attention, the demo is good, ok, ok, the demo is fantastic, ah ok ok you got me there, i enjoy a lot with this one and is the best game on rpg maker that i ever play until now, i love your items and stats, the battle system is so cool and is well edited, the history seems kind of weird at the start but as long you progress on the demo it got more logical to the game =), the music is very good too, the gameplay is awesome, the characters has good development they could have been better and is hard to say if the elders stuff could have more work but outside that your demo for me is perfect, i love this type of games also and i do not know what more to say to your almost perfect game, but maybe making more stuff to do and one than another exploration event like recollecting items-quest or similar, and... Do you imagine your game as an open world also? That is just wow.... For me, your game is cute in a lot of aspects and the game flow, with the cutscenes, are pure gold. +100 for an excellent demo hope the full game exists on the future someday.[/SIZE]

I will list the good things of the game as a demo:

  1. The starting history seems kin of cliché but original at the same time.
  2. The concept of the main character, I just love and want to protect that kitty.
  3. The start of the game with the battle is cool and it gets logical with the history progression.
  4. The level design the way the village is ordinated is cool and is very filled with detail, there are a lot of games that lack at this but the map looks alive.
  5. The funny on the characters, all of them have it somehow and that is kind of perfect for the atmosphere of this game, I smile here and there too often.
  6. I am very impress with the drama setting on the cutscenes, the part when she remember his mother was cool, I don’t remember see that in a videogame at the moment, it gets fine and make me motivate to continue playing.
  7. The day and time script itself is great, I mean you manage to improve a correct timer for the selection of stuff you can use per day, like training or working, making you get focus on what you like most or in what you need to do most, the gadget picture that display the current time is cool too.
  8. The demo duration is so nice for me, maybe could be better try more things to see but I really love playing it.

Perhaps because of my presentation at this threat is still less convincing , ehehhe

By the way you talk about an update? are you going to update the demo version or a beta release? I just need see more stuff on this one, is one of the best games on rpg maker that i had played for my taste until know =)

Heya there. I've checked out the game and have some thoughts to share.

I was already perplexed from the very start as to why there was a battle prior to the title screen. It started off with a nice splash screen, but then right after that BOOM, time to fight. No title screen, no introduction. Of course I lost that fight by a landslide since I was still trying to understand the mechanics. And then we finally see the title screen. I have a question. If the player shuts the game down and then launches it again, will they have to sit through the battle again? I know it doesn't happen if I've saved the game at some point later, but what if I haven't used a save yet?

The whole game is a bit strange to me. It's not bad really, it's just so incredibly strange. Some parts were making me laugh because of how silly and random they were. No idea if that was intentional. I have so many questions in regard to this:

Why is the main character in a constant walk motion?

Why is that whole village full of old men and how did the main character even end up there?

Also, why is there a fadeout during some parts of a dialogue, like when I asked the first old guy about the Nocturn village?

The main character then says that she suddenly felt hungry after being told about meat, and loses 70% of her energy (or was it 80%?). How? That's not how the body works. You don't lose energy when you think of food. Lol. Maybe she should've just started with 30% energy.

Then I went to talk to the lady running the inn, and the main character started talking about the mp3 file to some song. Lol what? Why is she talking about mp3 files in a medieval-ish fantasy setting? I am really confused.

I've found some unknown item, but the game won't tell me what it is. It just said that I've found it, but it didn't show me a picture of it and didn't say what it does. And I can't access the menu either to find that out.

Also, what on Earth did that old man do to me in the mine? He just asked for help, then led me into a dark mine, only for me to be greeted by some rather disturbing noises. Some VERY disturbing noises in fact. :p

I like the idea of training. That was pretty cool to be able to train myself and increase my stats. But the game didn't mention anywhere what each stat does. Does Str increase my damage or does it give me more HP for example? What does Agi do? Does that recharge my skills bar quicker or does it make me dodge enemy attacks better? And what does Charisma do and why is it important?

The battles were also pretty confusing. I really like the layout and the character busts. It's pretty original. But I am not fond of the whole quick button press mechanic. Not to mention, the whole battle is heavily luck based, and I don't mean Luck stat, I mean literal luck. For example if I use Rage, my ultimate skill, there is a chance that it won't do anything at all. No! If I am spending so much time to charge my skill bar to use my ultimate skill, I want it to be useful, otherwise it's a total waste!

Also, I did not understand why Mita wanted to fight this Luna the Moon Goddess. Or rather what on Earth was going on with their relationship at all. Why did Luna keep leaving all the time? I've managed to beat her once, but she just ran away. Next night I could fight her again and they have exactly the same dialogue and do the same fighting. Is this even important for the main story?

Music was nice. It's XP RTP of course, but the tracks were well chosen and appropriate for the most part, so no problems there.

There are TONNES of grammatical and spelling errors in the game. They occur in almost every sentence. I would highly recommend you to have someone proofread the game, otherwise it will be offputting to many players.

Strangely enough, despite all these flaws, I kind of enjoyed the game. Not sure why. It's not my type of game, but because of how quirky and strange it was, I just wanted to keep playing to see what more it can throw at me. It's full of surprises. I think the story could certainly use some work though. The entire time I was playing the game, I was like this:

Anyways, I hope my critique is useful. The game has a strange charm to it, despite its issues, so best of luck and keep it up.

we will make user friendly . In final game, we will delete first battle before title screen.

This is what my team need.

The battle system still needs to be tested, and we need more research. :)

Yeah we need improvement to introduction world and gameplay.

but don't worry, we'll have solution.

Hi, I'm the one who mostly responsible of whatever is going on this project, Kitten Mita.

First, thanks for all the feedback. That's what we need for this project to keep going.

The current demo itself is worked in rush, so most of the game content were left empty.

@Artificer

that "almost perfect" score made me feel guilt for some reason. We promises we will not let it goes down.

Range Mode


we'll add new element such as :

  • Use item, now player can use item in the battle (in old battle system you cannot use item, battle mode still use luck based to win battle).
  • Move, player can move to close or away from the enemy, if you close mode your command for closed combat attack, if away from the enemy will range mode. You can see the fighting style just by looking at the map.
  • No more description attack, you no need to press enter to end of the attack.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
