First off, hello everyone, it's a pleasure to meet you.
I'm not one for the greatest of descriptions and such, so lets get down to it. I present to you...
Labyrinth ~A Tale of Remembrance~
Genre: Mystery/RPG
Demo:
(Game may contain religious mythos and aspects of life that aren't pretty. Fair warning.)
Current Goals:
- Clean up first area.
- Finish up Dialog and choices.
- Start making busts and portraits.
Now, what is this game about, you ask?
Good question.
Labyrinth is a tale of two siblings stuck in a place made up of various types of maze-like structures. Each one unique in their own way and style. Each maze will have it's own unique quirk to them. One make focus on riddles, for example. Or another may focus around finding something for a statue to progress. Or perhaps one will have you jumping through holes to make it to right spot. Or you may find yourself playing various games with an entity you really don't want to mess with at all. And all while figuring out what the hell is going on, as you (that is, the character), have no idea what in the world is going on, how you got there, or why.
You will start your adventure as Adam, unsure and confused, trapped in a room. As you search the room for clues, you hear a bleep from a computer screen, as it starts to repeat a message over and over. Finally let out, you step into a labyrinth of danger, and hope that you're figure what's going on, before the labyrinth swallows you whole.
Perhaps I'm being a little vague. But this is sort of a mystery game, and I wouldn't want to spoil the surprises I have in store by letting something slip on accident. No fun in that.
Characters
Well, enough of me rumbling on about that. How about we introduce our characters?

One of our main protagonists, he's quite the studious sort, always liking to read and good at solving mysteries and finding clues. He's always been one to go to for logical advice. In battle, he's one to always take steps to victory, using brains instead of brawn. You can always count on him to back you up.

The other half to our protagonist duo, Catherine is a hard worker, putting her skills and know-how to work in a pinch. She's always been one to take action and do what needs to be done, though she does tend to look before leaping. Taking up Martial Arts at a young age, she's quite good at it, and isn't afraid to take the forefront in a fight.
And perhaps others that are yet to be revealed?! Maybe....
Alright, now that we have some of the boring stuff out of the way, I think it's fair that some of those burning questions get answered, so...
Other Stuff
What are some of the mechanics to this game?
Solid question. When taking the role of Adam and Catherine, you'll be able to decide what they learn, and how, and when. This will allow each person to grow each character in the way they want. Want Catherine to take on more tanking skills? You can do that. Want Adam to be one to pick at the enemies attributes? You can do that too. Want to make a hybrid of each? Have at it. It's all up to you.
Additionally, the game features an attachment system, so if you decide to make up for a character's weakness, using attachments (which come in the form of badges for armor and accessories, and signs for weapons) will help you with that.
On top of that, enemies don't respawn. I know! I know! But fear not, there's more enough down there in the labyrinth to wet your appetite for fighting, trust me. So make sure you kill them all. Or should you?
I should mention that many of the choices you make in the Labyrinth can determine how smooth things will go down there. The choices and decisions you make through this game can make an impact on what happens to you in the future, so tread cautiously, as your actions today, can be your doom tomorrow.
Wait, there's a choice system?!
That's right! Taking inspiration from games like Undertale, there will be moments when perhaps you don't have to fight. But perhaps they have some cool treasure behind them, and it might fade away if you don't fight them! What do you do? Spare or save what you thought was your enemy, or fight them? Because dang it, you want what's in that box or on them! The choice is yours, but how will that change things later?
But, but! What if I want to try one thing one way, and another some other time? I want to see all the choices!
No worries. The New Game plus feature (Did I mention there was a New Game Plus feature? I think I did...) will let you carry over all your goodies into your next play through (And there's a lore and reason even behind that! HAHAHA!). So don't worry, the goodies you get the first time will transfer over to your next life.
Can I see the pretty pictures?!
Suuuuure! There's not much, but I can give you what I have, as the game is still in early development.

Additionally, I will be making custom sprites, busts, and portraits, so look forward to those in the (hopefully) near future.
I think that just about covers things. If you have any questions or comments, please, by all means, feel free to ask. A demo should be out relatively soon, as soon as I fix some of the dialog and such I have that need to be put in. But once that's done, at least the first half of the game should be playable enough to give a try. Cheers.
