I've tried the demo again to see how much fps it got improved on my old rig, but the demo (and the script inside) say it's version 1.20 (Date Last Updated: 04/02/2014).
The system also affects the battle screen, it retains the tinting used by the map from where the battle was triggered. I might make that optional in the next updates for those who doesn't want that feature
EDIT: oh wait no, I think some of the edit made it lose that feature... I'll look at it
Great script! The demo I downloaded says version 1.40, did you change anything else? I'd probably include the patch notes in the OP, too.
As for performance, I'm running an i7 laptop at 1.73 Ghz (with variable speed up to 2.93 Ghz), and I had to add about a dozen lights before I started noticing any slowdown. Even then, it was just for a few seconds after spawning, then it went back to normal.
Oh hello there, nice to see people looking at this and sorry for a late reply, I haven't been able to check out the site lately and internet has been down the past few days...
The terms are on the linked site too, in case you can't find it, this script is free to use.
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
