Greetings RPGM forums,

I am here to inquire on Animated battlers, I am aware the size difference with actors and events and am curious about Animated battlers to, is there a way to make them larger?
I really do not feel like making tanks the same size, that is just silly, I'm not interested in having the "Units not to scale" trope come into effect.
I eagerly await Your reply, Thank You for your consideration.

You can make animated battlers larger than the 96x96
Make sure the sheet has the correct proportions however (9 : 6)
Your only other issue is 'anchors' with larger sprites; there are several plugins that allow you to change anchor locations
Eg. if you have a normal sized character and a large animated enemy, when they "move to target", the character may move below the target's feet because of the different (non-uniform) sprite sizes.

I noticed you posted this in the subsection for RPG Maker VX, which - as far as I know - does not support animated battlers by default. If you are using a script for that, the information on how the spritesheets need to be set up (structure as well as size) should be in that script's help file. If you can't find it there, please post a link to the website where the script can be found so that other people can have a look at it.

If, however, you are using RPG Maker MV, which supports animated battlers for sideview actors, what boomy said is correct - the spritesheet can be as large as you want, as long as the stucture is correct. As far as I know, there is no upper size limit - in theory, you could make a battler sheet where one frame takes up the entire screen. But again, this is how it works in MV; if you are using a different maker with a script, there might be other size limitations.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
