I already search in Tutorial section and hope this is not a repost.
Some of you maybe already watch the tutorial video on YouTube and still confuse about it, you should read this.

Steps :

1. Installation
2. 2 NPC
3. Make The Quest
4. Quest Event
5. Explanation

*NOTE* : The Plugin will not appear in your game / active until you finished the Plugin setting and quest event (Step 2,3,& 4).
===========================================================================
Let's get stated !
1.You need to instal Yanfly Plugins :
- YEP_EngineCore
- YEP_MessageCore
- YEP_QuestJournal

If you new about yanfly plugin click here :
- Term of Use
- Installing Plugin
- Yanfly Website


2.Place 2 NPC

Left them empty for now. Name them John and Eva.
3. Make the Quest

Go to
Plugins, Then click the YEP_QuestJournal

Next click The Quest List - Quest 1
Next fill the data up. We need 3 Description and 2 Objective or you can follow me like this :

I did not change Visible Object, Reward List and SubText. Keep it like that.

4.Quest Event

Edit the left NPC ( John ) event and make it like this:

Explanation : Plugin Command : Quest Add 1
This is condition when you turn on the Quest 1

Explanation : Page 2
You need this page to wait player complete the condition/switch event.

Explanation : Plugin Commands
Quest Set Completed 1 = Finish the quest and it will updated to Completed Quest in Quest Menu
Quest 1 Complete Objective 2 = Objective in the Quest Menu will updated as Completed
Quest 1 Claim Reward 1 = You will get the Quest Reward
Quest 1 Change Description Entry To 3 = The Description will be updated to Description 3

Explanation : Finishing Event.
This will be remaining like this after you finished The Quest

Next edit the other NPC ( Eva ) and make it like this :

Explanation : This event will not move until Certain Condition met.


Explanation : The Condition met and the event will active
Quest 1 Show Objective 2 = The Objective 2 will show up in Quest Menu.
Quest 1 Complete Objective 1 = The Objective 1
will updated as Completed
Quest Change Description Entry to 2 = The Description
in Quest Menu will be updated.


Explanation : Finishing Event.
This will be remaining like this after you finished The Quest

And there you go it's finished. Now it's time to Explanation.

5.Explanation

First we need talk to

I have a problem with this, when i use the "Quest Add 1" command on my game, in the journal it says Avaible (1) but won't show the highlighted quest after

@donkisot123 - Excellent work for a very involved topic.

@UglyStru - I am just learning this plug-in. But I have found out it is possible to edit quest text so that the quest plug-in no longer appears in the menu. I had "Quest" appear in the main menu when I first started using it in an autorun process on the first screen of the game. Then at some point while adding the second quest, I broke the plug-in and it no longer appeared in the menu.

I have no idea what I did wrong, so I just deleted both quests and started over being careful to not edit any of those slashes the next time around. It is now working properly with both quests showing up as well as "Quest" appearing on the main menu.

You might want to look at the text field edits you made (you will have to know what error you're looking for and I have no clue yet), or just delete the quests and restart if you only have a couple of them. With no quests, the plug-in should appear in the menu if you have properly edited the plug-in setup. Leave those at their default value when testing . Then start again and see if there's a specific field in which you're making errors by play-testing the game after each text field you enter while creating a quest.

A real pain in butt, this. But since it took me over an hour to fix the problem, I thought I'd share my experience.

I absolutely love this plugin! I'm having a little issue. When I deploy my game to Windows, everything works as it should. When I deploy to android and go to the quest journal, I can see and use all the quest types, but when I select a quest to read it, the quest info window is just black. I can't see the description, objectives or rewards.

Hi all ^^,

I have a probleme with the Quest plugin of Yanfly.

When i try to translate in french Main Quests in Principales in the parameters and when i add quest with command plugin this quest dont appear in the list.

And i need to add icons in this parameters \c[6]Main Quests -> \i[xxxx]\c[6]Main Quests, it work fine but the quest dont appear.

Can you help me please ? x)

The screen black in the quest data area, is there a scaling issue for the quest or is it the computer

To resolve that issue you must change the quest's type from "Main Quests" (default) to "Principales" (in your case). The names of types must be the same.

Hello, I have a quick question too :
I don't know how to make paragraph in the "Description" part of the Quest Journal. I mean, have some space between different paragraph.
I have seen that Yanfly could do it on the video, but I don't know how.

Hi I have a question about making a collectible quest where you have to collect certain items to finish it.
Its the same as in Yanflys video but i just cnt get it to work. Any solutions?

I'm adding this to a game as well.
As it turns out It has 40 quests that I needed tonadd to the journal plugin.

Just to keep it simple I created a word document for keeping track of the quests

That works like this:

Q1 Roses for a girl
O1 Find x roses
O2 Give roses the girl.

When all the plugin commands for this quest are in the game I copy/past it to the plugin and fingers crossed.
This way I can easely edit the objectives along the way, reorder them and make sure nothing is forgotten without editting the plugin to much to save time amd have a better view of the quests / objectives.

It's not actual from now. I edited Quest Data Window, remove Reward List and quest appeared as normal.
