Also how to add dialogues between characters or enemies in the middle of a battle?

Last question...how to change the battle option from kill all enemies to just kill the Boss and victory to the party even though the minions are still alive?

You can add dialogue just by using the regular text option in the troops tab.

Sigh, I'm torn deciding whether I should wait for v0.8 or just implement v0.77...I was under the impression that LeTBS v0.8 would be released "soon". As if it was right around the corner or something, but there's been no word month after month. I've just been working on every other aspect of my project in the meantime. If v0.8 was just an incremental update, I wouldn't hesitate to use v0.77, however since it's a complete overhaul I imagine I'd have to redo a lot of work if I go w/ v0.77 now and switch to v0.8 when it's eventually released. What should I do?

If i were to switch to .8, i would need about 500 hours to update because of how modded i am.

Lecode is working on it, but v0.8 has been "around the corner" for months so I would probably go ahead with 0.77.2b. Like Pharonix, I will have a LOT of work to do if I convert to v0.8, to the point where I'm just considering cannibalizing what I can from the new version once it releases.

Hmm, I guess I should just go ahead w/ v0.77, otherwise I'll never make any progress on my project at this rate. I've been playtesting my game w/ Yanfly's STB battle system and just "imagining" how it would play as a tactical in my head lol. This means the range & scope of the near 200 spells I have implemented exist only in my notebook. Btw, would Lecode's TBS conflict w/ Yanfly's STB plugin? I really just have it to dictate turn order. If Lecode's TBS can replicate the same effect as far as turn ordering goes, then I'd be content w/ that.

So... I didnt mode any of LeTBS plugins so its ok for me to upgrade 0.77 to 0.8?
Will he change the notebox and plugin commands so I have to rewrite them?
And is it even worth it?
Cause rn lecode doesnt have any solid guides on his plugins
That old documentation doesnt have full info and some notebox commands there are incorrect
Some features of plugin dont work (like directional dmg) or mb it's just me not knowing what to type in the notebox
And some features like extra turn cause A LOT of bugs so I'll probably have to give up on that feature
There also other problems like poor AI which I have no idea how to change cause no solid instructions and sometimes the game freakin freeze when enemies think what to do
Tho I kinda have hopes that new version will fix all of that and wont bring new bugs
Am I right or am I not? XD

Why do you even mode letbs?
You can do it after 0.8 release even tho it can be next year
And now just do other stuff
But I just hope that he wont change the notebox and config commands so I wouldnt have to rewrite everything

Oh god no...
Tho I compared the new 0.8 documentation and the old one and some commands are different

I believe lecode has confirmed that there will be notetag changes.

How would I define a specific enemy to appear in a specific starting cell for battle? I see there's notetags for it in the forthcoming 0.8, is it not also a feature in the current version? The documentation sort of points at it maybe being possible but the info is sparse.

Try to type <Enemy Cell: id>
Or you can spawn enemies through AddEntity plugin command

That's not really working for me but I think I know why. Am I correct in assuming it can only place the enemies that are in the troop I'm battling? Essentially limited to the max of 8 enemies per battle? Is there something in this system that can increase that, or does anyone have a recommended plugin for increasing that?

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
