Legal Question about Generator

I am prettty sure that this unfortunately will not be allowed because techinically you will be redistributing resources without permission.... However I feel the need to ask because of just how amazlingly useful it would be.


A generator folder containing collected generator parts properly renamed  so that  a person can simply download this folder and copy it to their RMMV folder and instantly have a bunch of community resources ( generator parts) and thus basically be given an amazing extensive mini expansion to the generator without having to rename every single file individually..

Basically one person would collect all the resouroces.. properly rename them in one folder so they can simply be copy pasted and instantly used so that no one else has to do all  the renaming.

It depends on the TOS of the artists making those parts.


Only if you get the OK from each artist to repost and rename the pictures it can be done legally.


However, if you get those licences and give proper credit for everything, and link to the MV EULA as the main legal document on when the generator parts can be used, then it can be done.


It's quite a bit of work, and it will always be incomplete (because you probably won't get the OK from every artist or can't even talk to them due to language barriers).

as i figured, thank you for the quick reply....  i guess the next best thing is hoping for a program tha can automatically do the renaming of the generator parts (making sure to align the right parts to the right icons in the variation folder as well....

however i can always try and create a topic somewhere to try and mass gather permissions for the creators that use this website but it might seem a little disrespectful to do it like that instead of talking to each one privately  (which unfortunately will probably take too long to be efficient.)
