Hello all,
I have recently embarked upon trying to create a legend of zelda style game using RPG Maker VX Ace, but I can't find a script that will allow for a lot of what is necessary for the LoZ experience. I have seen Project Zelda in previous posts, but I have not seen anything that could work as a download. I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction of where I could find anything that would do the following:
-Allow for overworld combat

-Modify the menu to make it more like in Ocarina of Time

-Find sprites for Impa and Ganondorf, everyone else was fairly simple to track down

-The display for the weapons and the hearts

-Any other necessary scripts that I seem to be forgetting

Thank You all,

GloriousDM

1. Search for a real-time, or as they call it, action battle system (ABS) script, I'm sure there's at least one or two out.

2. Revamping the menu to 'look' more like OoT would need to be a script request.

3. Requesting resources should be done here.

4. Requesting a HUD should be done here.

5. Don't make your first project a Zelda clone - RPG Maker was created to make turn-based RPGs. Advanced users who've been using the program for years can embark on this quest to create a Zelda clone game (or Pokemon for that matter), but a newbie like you should just stick with the basics and actually familiarize yourself with the program and what it can do before you try something so adventurous.

That's funny, I'm a newbie and I created a remake of Zelda ,almost complete, it just takes time to get it all just right. If anyone needs any help, just let me know, will share.

For the OverWorld Combat System: try using the Sapphire Action System

http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/4918-sapphire-action-system-iv/

The menu can be done through events and paint

The Health can be found here, showing hearts with four pieces

Sprites I can't really help with. I'm not good at sprites and can't seem to find many; oddly enough.

Display for the weapons, you mean the Display(usual in the top right) that shows what button uses what equipped item?

Again that could PROBABLY be done through events

I'm actually starting a LoZ project myself, and could use some enemy sprites, along with some basic characters (All I really have so far is Link)

I highly recommend using Falcao's Pearl ABS because it has the largest community currently supporting an ABS, including myself and several others.

XAS Ace has limited support on the rpgmaker subreddit. I don't know if Sapphire is being supported, but either way it is the simplest and least rewarding of them all (although this may be what you're looking for).

I love how a good majority of people get this game, and almost immediately start building Legend of Zelda...

I'm not ashamed to admit... I did too, lol.

I have a lot of the enemies, but only 1 version of them. I used the hue bar to change them from red to blue.

I'm still trying to get the scroll to work right when entering a new screen.

As for the display, I'm assuming you meant the HUD. A script would be the best choice. There IS a way to put it all together, but if I remember right, there is a limit of 50 pictures you can have up, and you would probably hit that limit really quick with opening rooms in dungeons in your dungeon map. Not saying it's not doable somehow, just a lot of repetitious pictures.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
