I wish him well. It seems like he will be fine after the surgery but he will likely have to still go through some kind of treatment, which is never easy for cancer.

It’s a good thing he caught it early! I’ve donated and pray he has a speedy recovery!

If he does have to lose an eye, I'll at least say to him that it isn't the worst thing to only have one functioning eye. I lost sight in my right eye about 10 years ago. It sucks, but it doesn't stop you from doing anything. Other than seeing magic eye photos. I used to love those things but now I can't see them anymore. (True story, realizing I couldn't do them anymore was the first time I was ever sad about losing sight in my eye).
