Is there any way to make a conditional branch run a new event if a character has reached a certain level say 5 without having to teach them a new skill? It is because I have a training duel which you can replay in the starting area but want it to become more difficult as the player grows.

The way you worded that seems super confusing, but if you want something to happen upon level up, you'd have to dabble with common events running on a parallel process, that keeps checking the player's current level compared to the old level (which you'd have set to a variable before you'd run this common event). And if there's a difference make something happen.

Have you played the Variables Guide?

I am sorry about that I struggle explaining things.

I do not want something to happen immediately when they reach that level. It involves talking to another npc and before the battle starts I want to run a check to see if main character is over a certain level.

Edit: I will look into the variables guide now to see if it helps.

Re-edit: Thank you for your help yet again Celianna it worked perfect, also picked up a lot of other tips that will surely come in handy. Can i ask about the area though? I would really love to have a blackboard to add into the school in my game.

I believe there's a script by Yanfly that levels up enemies according to a player's level.

Maybe it's by Yanfly? Maybe.. Yami..?

Try google searching "rpg maker vxa enemy level up script"

It will make the enemy in the training duel scale with the player's level.

I might try looking into that sometime thanks.

Celiannas advice has helped me fix the issue though so I can check the players level and modify the enemy accordingly. Although that might help with the confusion it creates having two enemies of the same name just slightly stronger, easy to mix them up.

Area ... ? Are you talking about my maps and which tilesets I've used? Please do try to use the correct terminology around here (I think there's a topic here somewhere that explains some of it in the tutorial forum). The tiles are my own (link in sig).

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
