I want my actors to level up in battle by one at the beginning of every turn.

At the ending of every battle I want the levels to reset back to 1.

I'd prefer to not resort to scripts but will request one if necessary.

I've tried common events, kinda tried variables, and states.

I feel like there is a way but I just haven't cleverly thought of a method to accomplish this smoothly.

Please help, thanks.   :(

You could set the first page in your troop event page conditions to Condition: Turn No. 1 + 1*X Span: Turn

Change Level: Entire Party, +1

[battle Level] += 1

That will increase your party's level at the beginning of each turn.  I add 1 to a variable so you know how many times to decrease their level after the battle so you can return to 1.

Then you could make an auto run event or a parallel process event on your map that runs after the player is out of battle like this:

Change Level: Entire Party, - [battle Level]

If it's important for you to run the event that returns the party level to level 1 after all of the enemies are dead but while still in battle, you can do that but you'll probably have to use a script or change the enemy's state to immortal so you can trigger a battle event after all of the enemies are dead.  Otherwise the game automatically aborts the battle as soon as all of the enemies have the death State.

Here is a script Tsukihime wrote that makes it easy to run events after the enemies are all dead.

Create a common event and set it to parallel process, conditioned by a switch.

Do a Change Actor Level (Entire Party) -99 (it won't go below 1), then turn the switch off.

In your troops tab (you need to do this for each troop), set the condition to When the end of the turn, and the Span to Turn.

Do a Change Actor Level (Entire Party) +1, then turn the switch on.

Your actors will all gain 1 level after each turn is complete, and when the battle is over and you go back to the map, levels will all be set to 1.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
