  • You are a lexical node exploring a hand-painted world about to deal some damage.
  • No battles.
  • Illusion of an actual world existing.
  • Your character no HP or MP.
  • The sprite of a lexical node. He's pretty much a blank slate for you to project your existential fears onto.
  • I wish I had more features to list here but to be honest I'm making them up as I go.
  • The above statement I will render false for purposes of deluding you into thinking this game is actually good.
  • Which it is.
  • Allegedly.

The Lexical Node has come unstuck! Who will help unstick it? Our hero, the lexical node, of course! He's your regular plumber, just like-a Mario and-a Luigi! Prepare to stomp on some baddies using your trusty sword, and bullying little kids with your pestering knowledge of theoretical physics! Belong to a world of computer-controlled AI sprites who neither care about your life nor actually exist in any sentient form! Hopefully they'll give you a quest so you don't get bored playing this dumb game!

Walk around. Never talk to NPCs. They will all lie to you! Through their actions, implicitly learn about their intricate deep lives, their deep seated fear of their developer. Fear me, urchins! There's also deep, dark dungeons that are crafted to your every need. Except killing things. If all you need is a maze populated with mind-blowing balances. The gameplay in this game isn't even that good. Is it? But I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it anyway. If you call peeling your fingernails back with pliers a summertime vacation. Get ready for the wave.

This is the heart of everything.
This is the heart of the game.
Here lies the keys to opening all the chests.
It's all in here.
Here lies all the possibilities.

The levels,
the progression,
the puzzles,
the romance,
the fighting,
the battles,
the introspection,
the lies,
the deceit,
the truth,
the pain,
the regret,
the love,
the first kiss,
the Holy Grail,
the miniscule,
the gargantuan,
the lively,
the poor,
the rich,
the kind,
the gentle,
the abnormal,
the personality,
the fighter,
the giver,
the liver,
the insane,
the promising,
the deathly,
the worldly,
the sinner,
the saint,
the worshipper,
the priest,
the prostitute,
the liar,
the victim,
the murderer,
the power,
the fall,
and the ascent.

The lexical node is lost, but this . . .

. . . this might be the answer.

Lol no but in all seriousness, I will try to release this ASAP. Estimated release date within the next 3 months, but ideally even sooner.

I have no idea of what is this thing but looks glorious, ahahahahah!

Also I like the art, it's simple but appealing and does the job well.

You have my attention now, I'll follow this one. Good luck with it.

Thank you Dalph. People have said this is simple but appealing for a while now, but I thought they were all nuts.

You have my attention now, I'll follow this one. Good luck with it.

In all seriousness, thank you very much. Your encouragement is inspiring and I will try to make you proud.

Oh...another meme user (I thought me and zachfoss were the only ones here), we will get along well then.

In all seriousness, thank you very much. Your encouragement is inspiring and I will try to make you proud.

Edit: Very appropriate size I must say, I added it in my signature.

LOL ok for real I'll do that. I even removed it from my own signature because it was too unwieldy. Support bar coming soon! Probably within the next ten minutes.

Edit: Oh, and just to keep with the meme theme:

Edit #2: Cool. I added a cute little support bar. Here the little guy be:

Seriously now, I don't want this to fall into oblivion, it's certainly original and way different from most of the RM games out there...so it deserves more attention. I hope you're still working on it C-c-c-c-c-c-cashmere.

Lord Dalph demands new screens and more progress soon.

Definitely still working on it, guys. Just not this month. This month I'm working on Ghost up to the Sky, something loosely inspired by some mechanics in Lexical Node. It's for the Indie Making Game Contest. If you like the look of this, you'll enjoy Ghost up to the Sky too, since it is similarly artistic and puzzle/exploration-based. Don't worry, though, it's different enough to be called a new game!

My goal is to finish Lexical Node by the end of this year. But at least you'll have Ghost up to the Sky to play before then!

Are you still working on this, or is RMW world taking up all of your time?

I switched computers, so I might not be working on this more often. But I am working on Account Mu currently. I will return to this project! RMW World won't stop me from pursuing my personal projects, but perhaps real life assignments and exams will. lol. Thanks for supporting ;P

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
