After hitching a ride on a shooting star, four unlikely heroes find themselves in a stone temple floating in the night sky.
The four have agreed to banish every monster sealed in the temple after hearing the plea of Starlet, a star spirit who sadly was unable to come along. This leaves the heroes a bit lost as to what to do next, other than wander around smacking monsters. Luckily, that's something they happen to be very good at. That, and acting like idiots.

Star's Favour is a game created by Indra, a developer well known in the RPG Maker scene for creating quirky characters and games where the battles are the main experience of the game. It was made With RPG Maker VX Ace and is an RPG.

You can find the game here: http://rpgmaker.net/games/8519/

[Star's Favour] by Indra

Not my favourite Indrah game. While the maps and visual aspects were well done, I wasn't a fan of the constant shoving in your face of the sexual byplay between two of the characters as it over-rode the personalities of the two who actually seemed more like real characters than 'look sexy lesbians who like sex'. The battles were also quite dull with very little to differentiate them from each other when it came to strategy. That said, the skill set-up was pretty neat (bar a few skills that needed reworking or tweaking) and the actual way of gaining skills and upgrading them was a nice touch.

[Pom Gets WiFi] by  Me-Patra

Plan to do another video of Pom to show off the other ending and some possible alternate choices, but other than that, this doggie is done. I rather enjoyed it. It's silly, yes, but it's a lot of funny and you can see that a lot of work went into the pixelling and creation, even though it seems like Me-Patra didn't know what she was doing - the writing is all deliberate and pokes fun at the idea of people who take the internet too seriously. Frankly, for a first game, it was very impressive. If only all first games were this great.

[Plantera] by  VaragtP

An interesting little game - it's commercial and on steam for pretty cheap. Well worth it if you like clicker-type games. I enjoyed it a lot. I try not to show off my commercial LPs in this topic but I'll make an exception for indie games, I think. Big name games like Fallout 4 or the like, I won't bother posting, and in the case that I do show off commercial indie games, it'll only be one or two videos (if there's a big playlist), just so people know it exists - not a whole thing. The thread is mainly for non-commercial stuff and RM/etc games.

[Stardew Valley] by Concerned Ape

Stardew Valley is one of my favourite games to come out of indie Steam and it's both highly addictive and very fun. Like a cross between Harvest Moon, Rune Factory and modern day life, it's a farming simulator where farming is only one part of the game. Raise animals like sheep, cows, rabbits, ducks and slimes or harvest pumpkins, bok choy, corn, maple syrup, apples and ancient fruit or delve into the mines slaying monsters and digging up gold, amethysts, diamonds, crystals and ancient artefacts - all while wooing the villagers (with 10 possible marriage candidates - both male and female).

You can purchase the game now on Steam for $14.99 USD and I gotta say, it's the best $15 I've spent this year so far. No joke. Buy this damn game.

This particular LP is based around a Joja Corporation run where I aim to make big money in order to help out the 'evil' corporation take over the valley. X3

[Slime Rancher] by Monomi Park

Slime Rancher is the cutest game about herding and ranching slimes that ever existed omg please think of the babby slimes! It's currently in Early Access and I can't recommend it enough. Despite still being a WIP, the current versions are quite stable and a lot of fun to putt around in. Also, it's incredibly fricking cute. Currently it is available on Steam for $19.95USD.

[Rogue Harvest] by Genetix Studio

Rogue Harvest is a commercial Indie game that I was given a key for. I tried it out and while there are some aspects that still need a bit of work, overall it's pretty decent as a 2D survival simulation. It's skewed a bit to the hard side but it was pretty fun. If you want to get early access, it's available on Steam for $5.99USD.

[Finding Sailerius] by caspian(???)

This was a troll game that came through the queue at RMN and saw a tiny amount of time on the site before it was denied for various reasons, some of which you can see in the video. It was aimed at some of the members on the site and is pretty stupid, silly and weird. It's... an odd one.

[8-Bit Quest] by  X-Tech

8-Bit Quest is a puzzle game made in RPG Maker 2003. It's got some issues here and there but overall was a fun little title with some interesting Pac-Man-esque ideas that led to some frustration but were hard to give up on.

[Streaming Event Games: Swap in the Middle with You] by Various

So there was an event held on RMN over the past couple of weeks where you would make half of a game in one week and complete a game the next. The twist was that the first halves of the games were randomly assigned to different people to finish, resulting in a lot of fun times for all. We ended up with 22 completed games total, and I'm going to stream them all.

The first stream included the following games: (first half dev/second half dev)

- August and the Abyss by SubZero_Dragon and Craze

- Creaking by Craze and SubZero_Dragon

- Bloody... by unity and Oceans dream

- Dry Fate by Frogge and pianotm

- Empress of China by Jeroen_Sol and someoneman

I have a request. (If this thread ain't dead yet :X)

I made a game series called "TOD the grim Reaper" and there are a max of 3 games of that series.

Now i don't really wanna recommend anybody the first 2 Games (because they are hard as ****) down their throat, so i'm just gonna recommend the 3rd Game.

But you may be confused about the story if you don't play the first 2 games...

Actually the story isn't something i'm proud about anyway, but if you wanna know the story i can just summerize it to you.

Anyway, here's the topic to my Game:

http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/64711-tod-the-grim-reaper-3/

This game is something i'm actually proud of, so i want that it get's a lil' bit attention.

The game's also kind of Undertale like... if that matters at all.

IF for SOME reason you want to play the first two games... then god help you don't get the disease error.

Basically if you get the status disease and you leave the battle with that status effect the game crashes.

That, however, can be avoided by just curing the status effect with an item or skill.

But i wouldn't recommend these games anyway, so go ahead and play the 3rd one. :)

Thanks for reading.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
