Life Steal on certain weapons. Like Blood Sword from the Final Fantasy Series

Using Yanfly's Life Steal plugin and tried using the,

<HP Life Steal Physical: +50%>

note tag on a weapon I am calling the Blood Seeaker so it steals 50% of the damage done as HP but. I can't seem to get it to work. Any Ideas?
