Which one do you guys recommend, this or Hudell's orange lighting and time system?

P/s: The creator has seemed to abandon it.

And after I released my game, how do I remove the lighting command for players not accessing it?

Trying to make a torch effect follow the player. Has anyone had luck with that?

As the author seems to have abandoned it, I took the liberty to continue it, with the same Terms of Use and with, of course, a link to this thread.
You can find the v1.2.0 here.

Changelog said:
Version 1.2.0
+ Added the possibility to store current time into variables.
+ Added a default time value when starting a new game.
+ Added the possibility to change an event's self switch based on time.
+ Added the possibility to Copy and Paste selected light with CTRL + C and CTRL + V
+ Added the possibility to Delete the selected light with the DELETE and the BACKSPACE key.
* Corrected a bug where if two lights were at the same place, dragging one would drag the other.

Version 1.1.0
+ Added the possibility to make the player torch follow the player's direction.
+ Added the possibility to disable the time system.
* Corrected a bug where the custom tint set to the map would reset after closing a menu.

Not sure if I overlooked how to achieve this, but as of right now it seems like when I transfer to a map with <Tint: 1> command in its notes, then backtrack to the previous map, it carries over the <Tint: 1>. Is there a way to revert to the current times tint?

Actually, my tint setting are updated by common event regarding the map you are in. I just use notetag for inside map to deactivate the plugin

Hi, a little UP for the previous question.
When I transfer in a Dungeon Note : <Tint: 1> (A dark tint) everything is fine.
But if I transfer back to the previous map (Where there is nothing in the Note) I keep the <Tint: 1> even if I transfer into Homes, Shops etc..
Is there a command to get back to the Actual Time's Tint ?

Hello !
I recommend you to follow the link in the first thread, it links back to my thread, which is just me continuing the updates of the plugin.
If you're lazy, here's a link to my thread.

forgot I drew Riley's message bust ages ago. They might be one of the most unique characters in the game so far.

What hath possessed me to start rapping, Lloyd only knows.

I think the worst part is, I am actually really good...

no... actually, the worst part is writing a song about bum rushing Gandalf to stop Frodo...
I don't even listen to rap.
Just finished v0.1 of FOSSIL. It's a plugin that lets you use MV plugins in MZ without editing them by making them use new functions.

I have about 40 plugins tested and working so far (including chrono engine and some other big ones). I hope that the community will pitch in and help improve it, so we can use all the old plugins in MZ. :)
I really lack discipline and find myself far too often giving into or at least seriously considering the temptation to start a new project rather than following through on a WIP that's no longer a shiny and new idea.

Does anyone have any strategies or tricks for making themselves follow through with things instead of doing this? Like that actually work?
