Greetings all!


I've a request for a redesign or reproduction of the following;




So basically it limits how much a player can carry based on either number of items or weight of the items.


I would use Mr Trivel's version but he seems to have gone missing and there are a few bugs that need sorting out before I can use it properly.


It might also be useful to expand it slightly as it did not allow you to choose what it would do when you were overburdened or attempting to buy more than you can carry from a shop.


Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll expand where needed.

This is a summary from the other thread;

  • Restrictions on weight or items do not work when purchasing from shop. So lets say you had 1kg free you could buy unlimited items in a shop with no warning that your weight was going to go over.
  • When unequipping actors the items disappear. 
  • If picking up item off the ground and it's over the limit the item simply disappears.
  • Can't manually drop items.

Not sure if there are any others as with the problems maybe not that many people chose to pick up the script.

I'm also sad the plugin has such huge bugs, I wanted to use it with PM_Warehouse, but it's gonna be impossible so far.

manually dropping items is probably extra to what the plugin intended to do.  And what SHOULD happen when picking up items off the ground and it's over the limit? How would the plugin know whether to cancel the whole event, or run some of the commands?  Ideally, you should do a check to see that the item can be carried, as part of the event, and only if that is true, should you pick up the item.  That's the responsibility of the event designer, not the plugin.  As long as you can do a check to see if there's capacity, that's all that the plugin could do in that situation.

I spent the afternoon googling all the different options for weight and inventory limitation. Nothing seems to exist that tells you that 'you cannot carry anymore'

So I went lateral with it. I made 'weight' a currency using yanfly multiple currencies plug-in, so each item has both a GP cost and a weight cost.

Then, instead of drops, I made a treasure chest appear next to the defeated foe with the treasure inside a mini-shop, where I used EEFR_CustomSellPrice to make it so the if you pick up or drop any item, only the weight changes and not the gold.

I had to change 'buy' and 'sell' to something that covers both shops and drops... I used 'gain' and 'lose' ... but maybe there are better words? Or something that alters these terms between shops? So I can change 'sell' to 'discard' or 'leave behind'

Now I just need some way for what you leave to stay there so you can return to the chest and get the stuff you dropped if you want.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
