Game Synopsis:

Game Synopsis: After working together for a week, Stephen12235 and I did our best to improve the graphics. We made new items, new monsters, new skills, new maps, new events, and lot's of things that you are going to figure out while playing the game.

In the next update I will do my best to have:

- Bigger game size.

- More maps

- Longer story lines.

- Main quests, and other types of quests.

- more NPCS.

- Earning gold system (Like you go to a bar, play poker, and if won you will take your gold x the amount of people you won vs. If you entered with 1k, and won vs 5 guys you will get 5k golds.)

- Arena system.

Settings, and Characters:

Settings:

"Somewhere" in a "Kingdom" Harold and his friends saw weird things, and their adventure started.

Characters:

-Harold

-his father

-unknown guy

-Marsha

-Lucis

-NPCS

-soldiers

-King

-Queen

-Magicians

-Assassin

-Pirates

I think some of the maps could use a little tweaking. It seems like there are a lot of perfectly rectangular areas, and lots of unused empty space (especially on the interiors). It might look better with some more variation. You also might get some more feedback by expanding on the plot outline.

As for  your proposed future elements: I quite like the "gold earning" system idea. How many different ways of earning gold do you have planned? Can the player "advance" along a career track, or are they all one-level jobs?

They definitely could, though I can't really comment on this because mine are worse by far. XD But, yeah, otherwise, it doesn't look too bad. I just... don't know what your game's about.

Don't beat yourself up for that. You just hardly said anything about your game, so a lot of people would overlook it since there's no story, so the only things left are graphics, and you're using all RTP.

I'm also not a mapping expert another beginner as well but there is just some obvious errors I can see here. The windows of the red house on 2nd map overlap to outside of the building which looks very awkward. The food on the table of the third map is sitting part of the downward part of the table after it ends which makes it look like its about to fall off or something. Besides that it's not bad just has a boring look to it sorry if that offends.

You could use more resources for your game whether you plan to go commercial or non commercial there are tons of options you can look into. Same with plugins I think it's a general concept to use at least a few plugins to give your game a different feel than stock. It's hard to get people very excited when you use the same resources everyones seen a million times in the same ways people have used em a million times :D. Good luck!

Say whatever you want don't hold back!!

I saw all the replies and all are helpful thank you guys very much I will try to improve the graphics as much as possible, and for this quote:

I can't answer most of your questions unless I finish the game XD. The only thing that I can tell you is that there is at least 10-20 ways of earning gold. and as you see at map 15 when you go down right you will see the dark realm. There is where I would put the strongest enemies in, and I plan to make the 3rd kingdom a place of trading (safe zone thing).

I will try to use the plugins even though I don't understand how do they work.

Is there anyone who has ever finished all maps? XD there is 25 maps in total.

Generally, when you're mapping, less empty space and more details are what you want to go for because if you have 20 tiles of empty space, it makes that space seem completely bland and uninteresting. If you tighten up your maps a little more, unless you actually want a feeling of unused space, it can be a big and easy help to your game. Also, if you wanted to go farther into mapping, you could try a little bit of parallax mapping, which basically means laying an image over the map in order to create visual effects, such as dynamic lighting and shadows.

Another tip is to try and spend more time preparing and making sure the resources for your game are satisfactory of your vision for the game. If you're prepared when you start going into the story and plot, then it will be a lot easier to finish the game; you'll be satisfied with the results.

Finally, even though this tip may seem pretty obvious and annoying, try and use different resources other than the default rtp graphics. Seriously, it's extremely easy to find unique tiles to add a little spice to your maps. Even on this site, there are great, free-to-use resources made by awesome people out there. That is of course, if you are aiming to make a "good" game. If this is just a test to gain experience or something, then go for it. But take note that if you ever feel unsatisfied of your work, you can always reset with a better resolve, then try and up your game from last time.

Thanks for your feed back. I will do my best to improve the graphics as much as possible, and I will try to not leave a single empty space.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
