Has anyone had an issue with deployment of games on Linux? I was using a trial version of MV for Windows to deploy a game and launching the game on the current Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon edition with no luck of the game working. Yes I did make it a executable under properties and that still did not do the trick. Am I missing something or did RPGM never really had Linux OS support.

I don't believe there was ever Linux support, however that may not be what's causing the problem.

Do you have another OS version you can test on? What do you mean by "no luck of the game working"? Do you get an error message? Does it launch but stay on a black screen?

Are you using plugins, and do those plugins have resources in new folders rather than the standard folders? When you deployed, did you exclude unused files, and/or encrypt?

There was no loading screen, and for the options I did not use encryption ,no unused file exclusion or any extra plugins. I have heard you don't need wine to launch these MV games because of the deployment option.
The other distro I have on hand on a separate device is Elementary OS which I have not tried it out on.

I have tested it again with making a new test deployment and still nothing. I get these files shown in the png image. The game.desktop is the one I tried executing it from by making it a executable without trying to run it via Wine.

I also tried to deploy my game onto Linux yesterday. I got the window to pop up but it was just a blank window that said node as a background.

Very strangely, the debug version is working almost perfectly (a few small frame drops, but no serious issues).

Has anyone found a solution to this?

EDIT: This was on the Linux version of RPG Maker MV (steam version, not the demo like the poster above).
