Hi! I hope that title is sufficient since I don't really know what to call it.

Whenever I load my game, my tiles take a hot second to load into place and it looks pretty terrible when I'm trying to make a cool game. I've settled on it being a problem I cannot fix beyond upgrading to another maker but I don't really have the money for that right now.

So I was hoping I could request someone to make so when I load a save file, it shows a dark screen that fades in to hide this issue.

I have tried the "load a common event upon load" plugins, but they always occur AFTER the loading, so you see the tiles flicker into place.

And, if you'd like, to entice you into doing this for me, I could trade doing some concept art for your game or whatnot! I promise I can draw!
Anyway, thank you for looking.

Have you tried this plugin?

Works like a charm in my case.

I'll play around and see but right now it's telling me my audio doesn't exist at all and won't let me play my game to even test it. So I'm going to say for whatever reason, it does not want to work.

I have tried other preload plugins, but they have not worked in the past.

I have tried other preload plugins, but they have not worked in the past.
preload plugins need planning and practice if they are to work correctly, they usually will not work if added without understanding what is going on.

all files need to be loaded into memory before they can be used, and your original problem is that this loading always needs some time - nothing will change that, not even going to another engine. That is why the loading screens exist (even if their percentages are faked) - to hide the fact that the engine needs more time to load its files.

Unfortunately the files need to be loaded before they can be used, and that means the command to load files like the tileset for the next map needs to be given several seconds before the transfer command to that map (for example). That is where the planning comes in - and in case of loading savefiles you don't even know which map is stored and needs its tileset.
And then comes the fact that if the RAM is too full of preloaded files, the garbage collector decides to free RAM by removing unused (as in not yet used) files, so you can't preload too much.

In your case a specific pliugin to either fadeout the screen when the load command is confirmed or placing a loading screen there is probably the best option.

WARNING: If your problem does not come from tileset loading but from using too large parallaxes or parallax mapping, such a plugin will only hide the lag but it will cause other problems due to RAM use.

I mean, yeah. I know how preloading works and I wasn't seriously considering it (especially since the one linked does not work for me) because you're right on all points. It would be too much to preload every tileset to account of everywhere a player might save and even I'm aware of that. So I'm not sure why you're just repeating what I'm asking for: a way to hide the funky loading.

The map I am testing this on is also my default size so it's not because it's too big. I'm using the TileD plugin and I have taken out every other plugin and it still occurs so it is possibly the culprit (or it's MV who knows). I was told that MZ does not have this issue with TileD which is why I mentioned upgrading.

In short: I don't really care what's right or wrong about what's causing it, I just want to hide the funky loading because it's a problem I can't fix.

I think this has been 72 hours, so hello again! I'm serious about the art thing, btw. I totally don't mind trading services (unless I guess it's something wildly out of my league but you never know!).

NVM It's all fixed now.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
