I'm getting the fabled "load violation of address ..." error in 2k3. My project is in the official steam version of 2k3 and has never been opened in any other maker other than the steam version. Two of these errors pop up when attempting to open the Troops tab (see screenshots below), and one error pops up in the Battle Screen tab (also shown below).
I've googled and read every thread related to this error I could find. I have tried the advice of expanding all resources up to a large amount of slots (Actors, Classes, Skills, Items, Enemies... etc) in all of the tabs and even the switches and variables, but no dice.
I also have an earlier backup of the project in which everything works. I have tried comparing the project folders side by side and verifying that every single image/sound/other media file that is included in the working project is also in the broken project. What's weird is since that last backup, I haven't even touched the database. The only modifications I've made are adding new backgrounds (via Panorama/Parallax maps), so it feels like the project got corrupted somehow.
Kinda at a loss here.. anything else I could try? Anyone hex-savvy out there able to tell me what the memory locations might indicate? I understand 00000608 at 004979cf points to an area in memory the engine is attempting to draw from. How about 00000018 at 0050e74f?
Any point in the right direction would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
