^I'm using Theolized Sideview Battle System which has a realistic shadow script. You can find more information here.

And thanks for the interest Shuya. I'll be sure to keep you updated!

Im surprised you didn't get way more feedback, this looks really neat. Especially the battle system.

I can't really give you much constructive feedback without the demo, but graphically there is a certain lack of decorations in your maps to be honest. They aren't bad or anything, but they're just a bit 'meh' in comparison to the superb battle animations and style. Also, there is a certain clash in the UIs in my opinion, you have this stylized 'wooden frame' UI in combat the end of battle screen is just a blue gradient which I feel like is a bit out of place. I'd recommend using the same style for all your UI elements, then they will meld together nicely.

Appreciate the comments and glad to hear you guys like the battle animations so far.

Good catch on the victory screen. I had put a blue background as a placeholder because I wasn't sure on the layout yet. Keeping it consistent with everything else sounds like the way to go though. I agree with you on the maps looking meh. I remember being content when I first worked on all my maps months ago but now I can recognize the lack of aesthetic appeal. After playing other people's games and viewing some screenshot threads I realize there is much to improve in that area.

Once I get the demo out I look forward to any more constructive feedback you have to offer!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
