Hi Everyone!!!

I've just started a new project and figured I could use a mascot that would be featured in it that could also be used as a tutorial guide.

What I'm looking for:

All I really need is a sprite of the mascot, but if a face image can be included, that would work too. The only thing I wouldn't really want the sprite to look like is kind of the fantasy standard (Elves, Orcs, Goblins, etc.). If I could, I would love something original and kinda wacky, maybe a weird food thing with eyes or a flying mini-whale. I'm open to a lot of ideas, as all I'm looking for is a mascot.

The Game:

The game itself wouldn't really have to impact the sprite, as it is gonna end up being a kinda funny, adventure filled game similar to Disgaea (Similar in using a TBS really). If it makes any difference at all, I am currently using the RPG Maker DS resources, so the regular sprites differ from the regular VX/Ace sprites. I'm sure if it is something silly like a type of food with eyes and a mouth, or a flying mini-whale, than the type of sprite being used shouldn't matter much.

~Thanks to everyone that will help, or even if you just looked at the topic~
~If any other information is needed, or I don't meet request requirements, just tell me~

Usually a good game mascot would be one of the nooby enemies you would first encounter. Probably something cute and innocent.

Well I'm not picky, and I was thinking about including him/her/it as a hidden character at some point. But if I were to have a mascot, I would want it to be something you wouldn't really see anywhere else in the game.  :)

I think that kind of breaks the point of a mascot character then. o_o

A mascot character / item is usually something that players can relate your game to by just seeing it somewhere. If I see a red mushroom somewhere, it would automatically make me think Super Mario Bros. If I were to see this little guy:
then it automatically makes me think of the MMO "LaTale". (this little fella is the first enemy you fight. He's usually in various map backgrounds, notice boards, loading screens, etc.)

Lastly, mascots are meant to be seen. Look at any sports team, their mascots dance around on the field with the cheerleaders / team members dressed up as some animal-symbol or something, usually during the beginning/end of the game or half-time show.

Well I could just accept a mascot, then recolor it so I can use the original as the mascot, and the recolored ones as the enemies you would see during battles and stuff. Would that still fit the whole mascot vibe?  :(

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
