I'm still super new, so I really hope this is the right place to ask this.
I'm hoping to keep things simple, so here's the scenario:
I have several events that are direction based. I've been using conditional branches to check that the player is facing the right way.
This works great for events, like flavor text, that are activated by player touch, but not so much for events that involve player or event touch (like transfers).

I've got several transfer events that are dependent on direction of the player facing up (like into a doorway), but you can still move so that you're overlapping the door when coming at it from the side (it's a perspective thing, you can see in the screenshot below).

So i'm wondering if there's a way to script it so that it will keep checking the direction the player is facing while they are on the event, so that if they turn to face the correct direction the event will trigger.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
