As above really,

I'd like a specific enemy to teleport close to the party at random and specified moments within the game. Is this possible?

A plug-in would probably be the best option.

Probably not(I did not think of any).  Enemy encounter systems tend to be one of the less common types of plug-ins made.

I really like the idea though (I do not have the time or motivation to do plug-ins right now so I cannot help you sadly).

I've only been using RPGmaker for 2 days but couldn't you just set an event that when walked over increases a variable by one and have it set up so the variable triggers another event 15 blocks away that spawns an enemy? For teleporting couldn't you just show an animation and fade screen to give the impression that the mob has teleported once a separate variable has increased? I suppose that would work for specific but not random. I suppose you could set it up in a way that seemed random to the player but actually isn't. I dunno, probably isn't what you wanted, I only started using RPGmaker two days ago like I said before.

That's a good idea Jack, the enemy in my game stalks the player so having it turn up when you least expect it is kind of the crux of the mechanic.

I did take a look at Yanflys spawn event plugin, but that was for VX Ace so it's not compatible (as far as I know).

Anybody else have other suggestions?

Make a variable completely randomly at the first moment he can trigger, then on each map, put where his sprite could be. Then on that event, set it to parallel processing every minute or something and if the variable matches, call a common event which changes the self switch of the event to A which then spawns the event, and if that event is defeated, switch it to B, to despawn it

You could go for a mix of random and specified. You could pre-program in certain spawn points, then mark the territory that each spawn point corresponds to with region ids. When the event happens, it checks what region id the player is standing in and spawns the enemy in the specified spawn point.

It would also serve to make the game more suspenseful if the spawn points are clear, but the timing of spawning is random.

This sounds like a good solution to it all, could you possibly point me to a walkthrough of this as I have never worked with regions before. Thank you!

Hime is always a wealth of knowledge. However, I really got into region events from this forum question. Both refer to XV Ace. Honestly, I'm not that deep into mapping in MV yet and I don't currently have access to my work PC to verify, so I can't tell you if this info is current. You'll just have to try it for yourself.

Mostly I use regions to trigger transfer events on the edge of maps. It really saves time to not have to create so many tiny evens when you can have a single, powerful, region-sensitive event controlling everything. You can even tuck the controlling event into a corner, allowing you to essentially place two events on the same tile. Anything you could do in an event can be tied to a region. Just remember to set your controlling event as a parallel process or you're not going to have a good time.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
