Yanfly's Save Event Locations does exactly what I need, but in this case it has a major conflict with at least one of my other plugins. There's also Shaz's Save Event Position, but this plugin functions a little differently, and doesn't really serve my purposes. And I have tried changing the order of the plugins, but everything wigs out no matter what order I put them in.

FYI, the way Yanfly's plugin works is very simple: you put <Save Event Locations> in the map's Note field, so that when you leave a map and then come back, everything is where you left it. You can also put <Save Event Location> (without the "s") in a specific event's note field, and it'll do it just for that specific event.

I looked and looked, and haven't been able to find an alternative plugin that does that same thing, I was wondering if anyone knew of one. Thanks.

there is TSR_SaveEvent and highly compability with YEP library, and might not
conflict with other plugins.

if it does or one of yours, he might be able to fix or a compability to give you
to add so it wont.

most of his plugin should be just directly below YEP_EngineCore if you use it,
and above others.

see if it works for you.

@ShadowDragon - Thanks! I'm getting error messages so far, but I'll keep messing with it to see if I can make it work. I appreciate it.

what kind of error do you recieve? you might be able to put it lower to see if
it goes away, I can try to help, not sure if it is obfuscated, but if it's one of
yours, than it might be harder, you might be able to place below yours and
see what error you recieve by than.

so let us know and we might be able to help you out :)

I've tried putting it lower, higher, no difference. Whenever I have a plugin conflict, re-ordering plugins is the first thing I do. The following seems to be the same error message every time:

Before you get in the weeds with this, I should tell you I've already come up with a completely event-based solution that I consider satisfactory. Not Ideal, but nothing I would kick out of bed. It requires a bit more work to set things up, but it works and doesn't seem to slow things down.

can you screenshot your plugin databse as well? because it can help
with this error, so it also makes things easier.

but if you have a workaround that works, it's good, but if it can work,
it can make things easier for you as well.

I wonder if YEP_SaveEvent has the same error or differently.
because every plugin from TSR is highly rate that it works on YEP library
while he use it.

so it's weird, but I look into it, after you placed the plugin database.
to lower down the cause.

when does the error happen? right from the start, or on transfer?

that is not your entire plugin database though, not sure if YEP plugins
are in the correct order that is placed on his/her website.

if the plugins are out of place, it doesn't function how it should be and
weird things happens.

even if you add new plugins and start game from a save file, instead
of a new game, but you need the entire plugin database, there is also
2x galv_puzzelfunctions.

Not sure what you mean. These are all the plugins that are in effect, the ones that are "ON" are the ones that I'm using. Everything below:

-----------------OFF--------------------

is off. I just keep them in the plugin manager page in case I may want to reinstate them later.

not sure if YEP plugins
are in the correct order

They're in the correct order. I keep an ordered list of all Yanfly plugins to make sure they are in the right order.

even if you add new plugins and start game from a save file, instead
of a new game, but you need the entire plugin database

Not completely sure what you mean. Do you mean that after turning on/off different plugins that I also need to delete the contents of the "Save" directory? If so, then no, I had not thought to do that. I didn't know that was necessary. Is that the case? Because that seems really important to know.

there is also
2x galv_puzzelfunctions.

That's just because I have two different versions of that plugin, one of them I altered. But I only have one of them turned on. The one that's turned off I only keep on the page for reference purposes.

Ohhh... I see now, I screwed that up. I actually had TSR_SaveEvent on, but it was at the very bottom of the list, below the ---off--- line, which I absentmindedly cut off in photoshop. Sorry about that, I totally spaced out. Bad Hank!

TSR should be below YEP_EngineCore. most of his plugin unless told
otherwise. he is an active dev, so he might find the problem, if you
tell him yours plugins which collide and where, so he can provide a
fix, or join his discord so he reply faster.

Finally got my website fixed and the security sorted so it's been a productive day. Can I go to sleep now? I mean... I don't need to work right?
It's always a good idea to refresh yourself on what your plugins do. I'm working on a map with opening walls, and I was about to tear my hair out over how much image editing and hand-constructing of autotiles I'd have to do, when I looked again and saw @Shaz 's Tile Changer could copy areas from another map.
"sorry it took me so long to respond" - can we please agree not to say that anymore unless it actually took a long time?! (Like 36hrs at least) I mean, I'm running out of funny responses here xD
Ugh... 4:53AM over here and I can't sleep so why not just game make.
I just love the MV feature that allows you to create your own animations!
