Not sure how to describe music so here's some examples:

Preferably medium- to fast-paced.

Any instruments are fine.

So far I'm aware of SHW who has released a number of commercial-free tracks, but that's about as far as my list goes.

Not too sure about the third video's terms of use. Will have to contact the artist (小梧)

If you know of any that would be great (your own work, others' works, etc)

I would prefer to be able to obtain permission to use them commercially in my own projects.

Scythuz has a track called Koto Jam Party in one of the Restaffs. (March-June 2014)

DesperateMeasurez also has a track called Asian Graveyard in the November 2014 Restaff.

Blodeuyn/Kairi Sawler has asian tracks as well, I think. She released two for the 12 days of Christmas event 2014.

Edit: I went through my translation list.

Karugamo Koushinkyoku has Japanese styled songs. (Third link)

Here's the track that Slimmmeiske2 mentioned: Sultan's Shed and here's one from the Xmas Restaff 2014: Three Kingdoms.  There's also this track: Mountain Ascent but that's only partially Asian inspired I'd say.  They all have download links and I think they're the only freely available chinese/japanese tracks I have.

You'll have to check through the restaff releases for these but I know for a fact that Desperate Measurez, Blodeuyn/Kairi Sawler, Quigon and RyanA have Asian sounding tracks.  I've probably forgotten other people too so be sure to have a good check.

Hope this helps!

Try searching in OpenGameArt, there's a lot of music in there and some even public domain, example: http://opengameart.org/content/oriental

Also check Kevin MacLeod work: http://incompetech.com/
Thanks. OpenGameArt looks like a great place for resources in general.

I will check them out. The links on the respective sites also lead to a lot of stuff.

Thanks for the references. I enjoyed Mountain Ascent.

The Japanese version of the Samurai VX materials has several tracks.  No idea why the English version of the Samurai pack hasn't been updated with them.

You can get a copy of the Japanese version on Amazon.  I think I paid about $60 total with the shipping to get one imported from Japan and you an get one much cheaper now.

Hmm, will look around for some samples.

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
