Okay so before I was having a problem with my npc's and a new problem arose. The npc I have walking up the path will not stop and wait like i command then to cast revive on player then fade out into a area where I would like my evil npc to be walking up with the screen scrolling up but locked on him and some dialogue and a monster roar and fade out and transfer to inside of a house where my player is asleep and gets out of bed and from there I can work the rest I just have problems with cut scenes really if anyone can help that would be great! I'll stay on this page and refresh every so often IF skype is needed to help me or teamviewer please tell me :)

It would help to put some commas in that long ass sentence, or break it up into smaller sentences... My head's hurting trying to read it. :headshake:

Show your events please. Screenshots, not words describing what you've done. And show the whole event window, not just the commands.

I'm guessing you're using autonomous movement, which repeats by default, or an event with autorun or parallel process that isn't turning itself off after it gets to where it needs to be.

For the catacombs I would like dark one on the = at the gates and evil npc appears ( the cloaked npc in first pic) and I want the screen to lock on him as it scrolls up to the X near the throne where my first boss fight will be and have him dark one out and then reappear here in this house at the bed(where player would be) have the npc who casts revive at the table and from there start a player action event to send me to the next town I hope these photos helped to help you understand what I'm trying to do

Aesyeir Productions start using correct punctuation in your sentences. Your native language is English, so there is no excuse for not using a single comma in your opening and second post. They're important when trying to convey what you mean. Right now I really have no idea what you want to do, or what the problem even is. You also have a tendency for describing completely irrelevant things when it comes to events. What does 'dark one' even mean?

I think what you're trying to do, is create a cutscene, move some events around, and transfer the player to another map. All very simple things, I'm not quite sure what is giving you trouble.

Try reading some beginner tutorials. Our tutorial forum has many lovely tutorials to get you started and introduced to the program and its commands. Specifically, read about switches, but don't skimp out on variables either.

I'm a hands on learner and my grammar is horrible... I tried to watch countless tutorials and each explain differently.  I'm trying to be as clear as I can be with how I would like to map it. Being new and watching these videos and seeing something new like "how the **** did he do that?" and spend more countless hours watching videos and still being confused on how to work the actual program and command it the way I would like. It's not that It's giving me trouble there are some bugs I can work out on my own it's just getting the foundation of the event/ cut scene done to work from there. Watching tutorials still leaves me confused (Most of them at least like 60% of the videos.)  and the Variables I found was easy for gathering quests.  It's just getting a hang of all the controls and where things are at and being taught one on one really. I'm sure there are a few people out there wondering the same thing looking for help as a student learning this program. But I suppose I could watch MORE videos and figure it out on my own. but! Would you recommend any certain videos to help me?

And also dark one would be one of the animations I use to teleport a npc or character out of an area and into another for more pizzaz!

Aesyeir Productions, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

I don't recommend any videos. Read this for switches, and play this for variables.

Anyways I just looked at your event pictures, instead of trying to figure out what you meant, and I realize that you're using two event pages when you really only need one. On your first event page, of that old man event, remove the last switch. Then put everything you have in your second event page, on the first event page and delete the second event page. You can ALWAYS event everything on ONE event page when it comes to creating cutscenes. Then at the very end, transfer the player to your desired map (the catacombs?). In this map, create another event, set it to parallel process and use the 'change transparency' command to make the player invisible. Turn on self switch A. Create a new event page, set its condition to self switch A is ON, and trigger to autorun. Do whatever you want to happen in this map and then don't forget to make your player visible again at the end.

That should do it.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
