So. I'm doing a project on my youtube channel. I'm reviewing all the D&D modules printed, starting with the B/X system and moving up to 5th edition.
Since people are not going to want to watch 3hr game sessions, I want to take the lore, story, and plot of the sessions and convert it to visual novel/rpgmaker Machina of sorts.
In the end, once a module is completed. I wanted to take the remaining material and compile it into a game that the viewers can download and play through that module themselves.
The storyline is really fun.
Ard'Vanwa is a realm outside of everything. The place where missing things go. It's a natural eddy of sorts that has gathered objects and material and created a vast floating island. The air around it is particles that have "disappeared" from their worlds. The one reason the island hasn't been overrun by garbage is because of its resident garbage disposal... Terry the Tarrasque.
The sentient creatures who were trapped had put their differences aside and banded together to form a city, Terris Burg. Terris Burg is a walled city surrounded by a crescent-shaped, artificial lake. The magic-users of Terris Berg spent 300 years after it's founding to develop a portal in the middle of the city and have been able to connect it to another world, Mystara.
Now, the City Council has formed "The Explorer's Guild" and put out the call to the residents of Terris Berg, asking those brave enough to venture into the new world to seek help and escape from the realm that has torn everyone away from their lives.
So, what I need help with just that, I'd like to get the scripts developed and just get some help with the coding of the game itself. I'm not that familiar with the tools and the longer it takes me, the longer it will take getting the videos released.
The whole game should only be 4 maps (Terrisberg, Guild Hall, Quaquestion floor 1 and 2) and I plan on using it as a template for the full B/X module systems.
