Hi everyone,

as the title says, I'm looking for battlebacks for my game because using the standard ones looks a bit ridiculous - some bricks in the back wall are the size of the enemy  >_>  (Although this does give me an idea - ''toy story'' RPG where you play with little guys could be fun  ;) )

Anyway, this isn't really a specific request as I'll need quite a lot of battlebacks - does anyone know where I can find existing ones? Perhaps how I can make them myself? (I'm not too good at drawing though)  Maybe another RPG maker (I'm using VX Ace) has battlebacks more suitable for side view?

Thanks!

EDIT: The battlers that I'm using: http://www.geocities.co.jp/Milano-Cat/3319/muz/002.html

Can you tell us which battlers or sprites you use for your game?

Without that info we can't tell if a battleback will fit or not - you'll need different pictures if you're using default sprites compared to use holder's sprite or as third example the High-Fantasy-Sideview battlers.

Of course, I can't believe I forgot that.

I edited the main post, added a link to them.

Looks like the exact same modified rips so it's got the same problems as the other link, sadly.

Are you talking about these types of battle backs?

http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/27537-game-map-screenshots-5/?p=305725

If they are, I dug everywhere to try to find some but the only ones I turned up were private so I caved and made my own.

I wouldn't mind making some for you but it depends on your mapping style. If they are highly textured like the ones in the link

then I might not be able to because these takes hours to make. Also, if you looking for a whole bunch of them I might not be the

person your looking for.

An easier trick is to make a map that would resemble your battle back, get a map shot or screenshot of it, then re-import them as a battle back.

Yeah, that's the stuff I was looking for  ;)

I think that I'll try to make some myself, thanks for the suggestion though, if I'll run into any trouble I'll ask you some more questions.

I'm using RTP-like resources so it shouldn't be too hard.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
