I've gone through a mess of scripts and cannot find anything worthwhile. I am not looking for an eventing tutorial that referrences rgss3 script calls, that is not a script. I have looked into the following scripts :

Proximity Events - v1.3 by V.M. - Works well but doesn't have line of site, only circle radius detection.

Direction Based Line of Sight Events by The Infamous Bon Bon - Not a script, requires to much input and lags the game with lots of events. My last and final alternative.

Xpanded Event Control: Version 0.3 by Joe Pro - The Author can't explain things properly in English, I'm done.

Stealth System by Jet - Very nice script but not what I'm looking for due to having to many features I don't want in my project.

What I'm looking for : A line of sight detection script that the Author has composed in proper English with a description that the user can understand, not gibberish that doesn't make sense because of the improper word placement. A script where event detection can be programmed based on script calls or comments as well as an option for the events to trigger battle upon the "event touch" command (some scripts I went through required the detection events to be on parallel process which prevents my Player character from triggering a battle from the "event touch" command and vise versa.

If anyone has played Earthbound on the Super Nintendo, then you might know what I'm looking for. In Earthbound in order to start a battle, the Player character(s) must touch an enemy character to initiate the battle sequence. If the enemy character touches your backside they get a first strike and visa versa. Some Earthbound enemy characters have a line of sight as well, I would like to replicate these features for an upcoming project which is why I need a useful script for Event Detection. If anyone can throw some suggestions, write me a quick script, or give some advice I would greatly appreciate it as I've searched for a couple hours and kind find to much. Thanks for your time, will return the favor if I can, peace.

Vlue`s Proximity Detection script got one of the best line of sight detection type.

It can check for direct direction and for a triangle based line of sight too, which is awesome. I couldn`t find any other script doing triangle line of sight detection yet.

You might want to try all the script calls which the script provides in a proper way before assuming something.

Or if you tried all of them, you simply did something wrong, I guess.

Thanks for the advice Sixth, I shall look into this immediately as I haven't even heard of the Author "Vlue". As for the scripts mentioned in my previous post, they all work, just not they way I want them or need them to; if I can't understand a script because of a language barrier I tend to move on to the next one, even using google translate won't help as words can get jumbled and make no sense.

Edit : I've tested the script out and it works perfectly and makes sense, thanks again Sixth!

I always thought that Vlue is V.M., lol. :D

All of his scripts says:

"Script by: V.M of D.T"

But you are welcome! :p

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
