wow I'm in the list, but I will never vote for myself (that's pretty sad, hahaha).

JackCL has my vote. Superb use of the POP tiles in that map.

@Gin Haha. I needed a moment to figure it out myself. :D
Just copy the links in your browser. It should lead you to the right entry automatically. When you're still unsure move your cursor above the permalink of the post (in your post here that would be #5). You can see the link then. :)

I voted for JackCL's map. Not only was it beautifully dense and atmospheric, I loved how it showed many different versions of love in the same scene without those stories conflicting or competing with each other. I was tempted by the Ralph falls for food map though, that one made me laugh out loud.

I'm sorry, I'm old and grumpy and although I eventually figured out how to see each entry I found it far too tedious to go through that for each one. So for the most part I have no idea what is on that list and won't be voting, but good luck to everyone and I hope that others are not as lazy as me!

Awwn, my post didn't make it. Well, it's heavily focus on parallax mapping anyway lol. Anyway, a big congrat for everyone :)

I remember yours. I liked the image a lot but it didn't feel much like a map. More like a cut scene. Still, very nicely done and something to be proud of.

My vote was for Lestroth, gotta go with the dogs, especially since my first thought when he/she/it posted their map was "why the frick didn't I do that?!"

Congrats to the winners and top ten runner-ups...and the other 64 entrees too. I really enjoyed seeing all the unique spins everyone had on the same concept drawing from their own experiences. Certainly interesting seeing how differently each of our perceptions can be working with the same emotion.

So hard to choose!

I really like the hubbz swans. Nice colors, a bridge (like bridges!) and there is an idea with a sad grandfather, but a little more melancholy than festive.

Matseb2611, original idea, I like it, but the map is too symmetrical for my taste.

And in the end, I voted for whtdragon. Yes, the center of the card suddenly empty and poor on the details, but there are plenty of holiday items, fifty shades of pink, and the skillful use of overlapping tiles to give depth to the elements of the map. It is a bright and festive! :kaoluv:

Thank you, I did my best!
Although to be honest, I'm proud of the second map more (do mapping of the street is much more complicated than the room), but it does not participate in the vote, unfortunately.

Thank you very much, very pleased that you noticed it :kaopride:

My vote went to @huubz

The colors are gorgeous, and the way the map is laid out makes it feel like the old man had to journey to get to the gravestone, giving an added layer to the story behind the map. It's really beautiful. (As I've said, my strengths lie in subtext XD)

Everyone did a wonderful job, though! This was a fantastic competition!

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
