So I bought RPG Maker 2003, I managed to get through the problem of importing the sprites, but now they are so low quality.

How do I import my sprites while still retaining the details?

'Tech Support' is for when you can't get the engine to run.

By the way, how does the poll relate to your question? You don't need to include one with every thread, they are there as an option for when people do want one.

What do you mean, "low quality"? 2K/2K3 sprites are 16x16, afaik, so it's naturally going to be low quality.

If you mean the sprites in game are not appearing the same as what you created, I wonder if it could be due to the colour palette. In that case, can you attach one of your sprites along with a screenshot showing how it appears in-game? I believe those older engines used a limited palette (and this is where I'd talk about image settings in your image editor, if I knew anything about that)

Thanks, but I solved it now. Apparently, I saved the sprite sheets at a very large resolution and then resized it to 288x256 in Paint.net, causing them to lose quality.

All I had to do was save each character sprite sheet at 24x32 pixels, compiled them again, and it was solved.

Nice that you figured it out on your own.

If your issue is resolved, just report your first post and let the mods know, and they'll pop in and close the thread for you.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
